MCM Comic-Con London
Sooooo I have never been to a comic con in my life! I just got a ticket and a photo op but I’m slightly anxious because I know it’s going to be busy from what I’ve been told by others or posts I’ve seen floating around in the previous years!
I’m unsure of how the day will go but need some advice, can I go later than my ticket I’ve bought if I only want to have my photo op? As an anxious individual I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. Do I have to get there for my allotted ticket time. Help a girl out please! And can you take stuff for them to sign if they are allowed to do that?
Any other advice is appreciated

I think you mean can I go in later for the show admission ticket time you got?
Sure you can go later with your ticket as long as you get there for your photo op all is good.
Depends what day your going Friday is the quietest weekends are very busy with people
Yes I never done it but you can take things for them to sign

The item(s) you want signed - You’re welcome to select one of the show-ready photos we’ll have at the signing booth on the day, or bring along something special to be signed.

My advice would be to miss the initial opening time because of the crowds and then you should find it much easier to just walk in later.
Others mentioned the rest room. It is a really nice place to sit in silence and diffuse. They also tend to have a little safe place in one of the excel’s rooms along the edges of the halls. I’ve used them before to sit and have water when I was feeling uncomfortable.
You should be ok to wear headphones or earplugs. I tend to drown out a lot of the noise with ear plugs or music and then walk around in my own bubble.
People are very nice and friendly there though. Other than the queue for your photo, I don’t think you’d have much waiting around. But hopefully you’ll see lots of cool things to do other than your pic!

For some reason this has hit my feed - so I thought I'd just throw a thought in as I was in a similar boat!
My first ever con was MCM London last October - One of my favourite VAs was there so I went for the photo op! The big surprise was how quickly it went - you queue and then when you get in it's really quick as they have to process everyone. I think from starting to take the photo to leaving it was about 30 seconds! Just about time to say hi and maybe suggest a pose etc. I was very surprised but still pleased to do it - the photo with her came out pretty well in the end! I'd recommend thinking of a pose etc. (if this matters to you!) beforehand to be prepped.
To actually get some more time/interaction it's usually having to go to their autograph table (which I ended up doing!) - this is where I got something signed too. You can also get a selfie/photo at the table too (for a price).
Hope you have an amazing con! Some great suggestions elsewhere about the rest area and we also found just heading to the outside area for a breath of fresh air was great. Everyone is super friendly and it's a blast. I was super anxious about going and now we're going for the full 3 days this May!, Friday as Gustave and Renoir and Sat/Sun as Shinra soldiers!

I don't know much about photo ops, but in general:
Wear comfy shoes, bring a water bottle and find the free water refill stations, schedule time to eat (real food not just snacks!), maybe bring a sandwich cos the con food is expensive.
Also since you have anxiety, make it a priority to find their quiet room (I think they call it the reset room) so you know where to go if the crowds get a bit much.
