I think she's still a little behind the curve on AI, we can put these c-suites in prison under current laws, but otherwise she's doing fantastic.

She did say someone she knows said "woke 1 was crazy" and I disagree with that, but then it's not like paraphrasing should count. So, same.

I'm on her side, so naturally the most friction I've seen is from people who already like her politics. They usually just complain about low-stakes stuff like digs that use gendered language. I've seen a couple reactions to something she said mirror the "some, not all" phrasing, when the topic happened to be about gender. And then there was that overblown business about a year ago where she might have used a gay culture term against Republicans - "the girls are fighting" or something similar.

Given that's the worst of it, I agree, her record is pretty fucking clean.

Edit: I agree this was originally nonsense, so I reworded it after a good night's sleep :)

AOC's main political problem is that too many leftists, progressives, etc. act as if she's an absolute monarch and criticize her for not running roughshod over the US Congress and POTUS. And then those same complainers somehow support someone or people less progressive than AOC over AOC.

Literally the only reason Jon Ossoff 2028 can be a thing is some people still complain about AOC's 2024 DNC speech and like that US Senator Jon Ossoff had a few good I v P votes after that speech. And various centrist Democrats and 'moderate' Democrats can say that even some progressives like US Senator Ossoff and want Ossoff 2028.

I remember when people were criticizing her “tax the rich” dress at a Met Gala event she was invited to. Strangely, I’ve never heard them complain about anyone else attending that event.

It's worth pointing out that Target's loss prevention team doesn't fuck around, and they will wait for you to steal a felony's worth of goods — even if they have to wait over multiple of your "shopping" trips — before detaining you and calling the cops. So be careful if you're gonna try that.

Yeah I basically just read "know your limits and stick to them." What if you steal something when it's on sale? Or is the dollar amount of theft equal to what the company paid for it rather than what's on the tag? Because technically they're not losing $10, they're losing a dollar or two.

Minnesotan here. Hopefully it snows soon on the east coast, ICE pigs have proven there stubby little legs don’t work good on the snow/ice.

Frozen water bottles =Football to throw

Gotta get out in numbers, take off work and be ready to respond. I work blue collar and when more than half the workforce calls in sick it really makes a difference.

Don't forget the random assortment of uniforms and vests. If I saw a guy with a hi-vis vest on and an AK, I'd assume he's not law enforcement. These people aren't adequately trained or supplied, so they look like a neo nazi gang visited a surplus store and is clumsily abducting you while (unconvincingly) pretending to be police.

Abolish ICE and they'll hijack a different agency to the same effect. Maybe CBP. Maybe the army.

We have a bigger problem than ICE. The problem is there's enough people that want to be doing this and they're at the employ of the Trump regime. I don't think they care which letters are on their vest.

The next admin is going to be so fucked. Every single federal employee is... not necessarily corrupted, but can't be trusted.
