From another angle:

We absolutely want foreign gods celebrated here in the US.

That's explicitly why the 1st Amendment exists. Which had almost universal agreement amongst the Founding Fathers.

u/Queen_Of_InnisLear 2d ago

That little Constitution thing? Don't be silly 😜

19

u/ctothel 1d ago

Well sure but I think it’s better to say “explicitly accept”, or “respect” or something, rather than “want”. The less worship the better IMO.

7

u/Gridde 2d ago

Yeah there's no way at all these top cats would amend such a document, right?

95

u/slothdroid 2d ago

If God created the universe, why would there be a different one for each country?

27

u/Independent_Bebey 2d ago

Sean just accidentally deported Jesus.

15

u/wasthatitthen 2d ago

Have you met people? Why have someone else’s deity when you can have your own?

8

u/ealysillyforestthing 2d ago

Or be the Romans and take every ones

1

u/josch247 13h ago

Hahaha boooh, Romans, boooh. There are still adult people nowadays believing in gods but that's not ridiculous enough: people think it's appropriate to mock people who lived 2000 years ago for their religion XD. Incredible. Anyways I'm sure Jesus would have taken deportation any day off the week hahaha no problem

u/Jellodyne 2d ago

Ina my religeon everyone isa the pope

1

u/PoolMotosBowling 1d ago

christians just say those are false gods and those people are going to hell

62

u/da2Pakaveli This AOC flair makes me cool 2d ago

They woulda deported him back to Palestine for spreading communist propaganda

56

u/brothegaminghero 2d ago

18

u/pchlster 2d ago

He was saying this crazy stuff, like feeding the hungry or welcoming the stranger!? Downright unamerican, that is!

3

u/Granolag23 20h ago

He destroyed personal property and flipped a bunch of tables. That’s like capital punishment in the US. Elon woulda lost his shit

u/Joseph4-0 2d ago

6

u/intangibleTangelo 1d ago

i can't get past that typography

6

u/tw_72 1d ago

back to Palestine

According to SCOTUS, we could/would deport him to a country that He was not even associated with - like maybe Egypt.

41

u/Powered-Lamb 2d ago

What if Jesus already tried to come back but a Republican travel ban kept him out?

38

u/CelticSith 2d ago

Jesus: “I am he”

Republicans: “That guy just used a pronoun AND he’s brown… get ‘em!!”

42

u/HeavilyInvestedDonut 1d ago

Christianity is literally a middle eastern religion lmao. These people are so stupid

6

u/loug1955 1d ago

Modern day Knights Templar wearing little red hats instead of armor

3

u/Dizz2K7 1d ago

They'd crumple under the weight

2

u/sealmeal21 1d ago

Most Americans would.

7

u/tw_72 1d ago

middle eastern religion

...and Jesus was Jewish.

I suspect these people would NEVER believe THAT.

3

u/SilverNEOTheYouTuber 1d ago

I talked to a Christian Neo-Nazi once, he claimed that Today's Jews are different from the Jews in the Bible, while citing a Verse from the Book of Revelation about Fake Jews to "Prove" so.

5

u/Phannig 1d ago

There's always a loophole, even if it contradicts another loophole.

2

u/SiteNo6788 1d ago

They distinguish it by saying it is levantine.

1

u/gkn_112 1d ago

ask the same people and turkey is middle eastern again. weird understanding of geography indeed.

1

u/Enki_007 21h ago

The Barbary Coast was the Middle East to America at one point. Isn’t that when the USN was founded?

1

u/xSilverMC 1d ago

They'd then probably claim that the Levant is on the border of Ohio and Michigan, too

1

u/sealmeal21 1d ago

Pretty much all of them are.

1

u/unpersoned 1d ago

I like reminding people that Jesus was Palestinian.

1

u/Ihavefluffycats 11h ago

The world's big three religions are middle eastern religions. Judaism comes from Canaanite religion. Christianity and the Muslim faith are both born out of Judaism. Jesus was NOT a Christian. He was a Jew. Jesus runs through all 3 of those religions, but is only considered a "savior" in one.

These people all think their God is better than any of the other religions God. They all worship the SAME damn God. It's insane!

16

u/hamtronn 2d ago

White Jesus was born in New Jersey. Pretty sure he was on Jersey Shore.

9

u/Everybodysbastard 2d ago

I hear he loves skeeball.

6

u/SirIAmAlwaysHere 2d ago

Blasphemy! Everyone knows Jesus played Pickleball on weekends with his Disciples at the country club!

1

u/Ihavefluffycats 11h ago

No. Jesus would never pay to belong to a club of elites. He'd be playing everyone at the free courts. First come, first served.

2

u/Deraj2004 2d ago

Thats his dad.

1

u/Oreo_Speedwagon_Kit 3h ago

And looks like Alanis Morisette

11

u/CardNew656 2d ago

hes going to be absolutely devastated when he realizes where the New Testament takes place.

7

u/raf_boy 2d ago

He's never read it, so he's blissful.

6

u/MattDubh 1d ago

Or even had someone read it to him. Which would save the wear and tear on the end of his finger.

9

u/Immediate_Gain_9480 2d ago

Wel. There is always the Mormons. A true American religion.

1

u/Winterfaery14 1d ago

They still worship Jesus.

7

u/lowfreq33 1d ago

There’s always Scientology.

3

u/LowKeyNaps 1d ago

Didn't we spray for Scientologists last week?

1

u/Granolag23 20h ago

If only it were that easy to deter them from our personal space

5

u/Stinja808 2d ago

Jesus doesn't even know what America is

6

u/Awkward_Dig8690 2d ago

the CHRISTIAN Jesus was born in the USA though /s

1

u/anirudhsky 1d ago

I hope this is a joke... 😂

4

u/squirtloaf 2d ago

Ugh. I've had enough of these weird middle-eastern cults.

4

u/Kyr-Shara 2d ago

america doesn't have any gods

3

u/NearEastMugwump 1d ago edited 1d ago

Of course we do. Sir Terry Pratchett and A Sex Pest wrote a book about them!

1

u/Kyr-Shara 1d ago

Grievous Bodily Harm, Cruelty to Animals, Really Cool People, and Treading In Dogshit (formerly All Foreigners Especially The French, formerly Things Not Working Properly Even After You’ve Given Them A Good Thumping, never actually No Alcohol Lager, briefly Embarrassing Personal Problems, and finally People Covered in Fish

3

u/apolloxer 1d ago

I think the one about those Gods was written by A. Sex Pest alone.

3

u/NearEastMugwump 1d ago

You're right. I was thinking about Good Omens.

2

u/anirudhsky 1d ago

What about xenu 😜

2

u/No-Escape4457 1d ago

Sure we do. America worships the Almighty Dollar.

3

u/gregsDDS 2d ago

Of course he was. He was born on the steps of the white house and his name was tRump

3

u/Present-Arm-6023 2d ago

Jesus Luzardo was born in Peru so yeah they would love to deport him especially if they are Mets fans.

3

u/Stunning-Mastodon193 2d ago

I guess he worships the Creator, the Thunderbird and our bison brethren. That’s very commendable

3

u/cetaceanlion 2d ago

Jesus family took him and fled the West Bank to Egypt to get away from King Herrad who was trying to kill him.

So they were refugees. ICE would have shot them in transit.

3

u/j____b____ 2d ago

Depends if you’re mormon or not.

2

u/MrKalyoncu 1d ago

dumbdumbdumbdumbdumbbbb

3

u/picardo85 1d ago

Well, depending on who you ask, Jesus was actually born in the US as far as I understand it.

Aren't the teachings of Joseph Smith about an american Jesus?

3

u/Insomniac_Steve 1d ago

Wait until they realise that Jesus wasn't white.

3

u/loug1955 1d ago

But but... isn't Bethlehem in Pennsylvania?

1

u/mp3bear 8h ago

Among abouth 18 other states…most of which are in the South…

hmmmm... 🤔

3

u/coolbaby1978 1d ago

God is all around us, in nature, but only the America First white God, not that foreign illegal alien loving God.

1

u/sealmeal21 1d ago

Don't you talk about Korean Jesus like that

2

u/Hussein_Jane 2d ago

I think they mean "I", not "we".

2

u/NaptownSnowman 2d ago

I’m pretty sure they think Christian is synonymous with American.

2

u/Hyperlinux 2d ago

Go figure

2

u/Yagsirevahs 2d ago

So, Palestinian then?

1

u/EstablishmentLate532 2d ago

TFW you learn about Mormons.

1

u/SrDinglebery81 2d ago

That's the problem with the states. They can name towns anything they want. Like New Amsterdam before it became New York.

There are probably dozens of Bethlehem's and Jerusalem's in USA and some of them probably claim jesus was from them.

1

u/TjW0569 1d ago

Why they changed it, I can't say... people just liked it better that way.

1

u/WilliamJamesMyers 1d ago

gods? plural?

2

u/ZoominAlong 1d ago

There's something like 33 million recognized deities across the world so yeah, I'm fine with Gods, plural, being welcome in America.

1

u/Secret-Treacle-1590 1d ago

🎶 Have you heard of the all-American prophet? 🎶

1

u/kittehkouncel 1d ago

This seems like a good place for this white Jesus

1

u/EremiticFerret 1d ago

Since we are swapping over to native religions, can I pick any I want or am I restricted to where I was born or do I have to convert every time I move?

1

u/sealmeal21 1d ago

They're both weird.

1

u/IngloriousMustards 1d ago

Only raven, coyote and Wakan Tanka churches, lila pilámayaye.

1

u/PM_THE_REAPER 1d ago

Trump can just rename him "Jesus of America". Problem solved.

1

u/josch247 1d ago

I mean there are really worse things you could do to Jesus then deporting him. I'm sure he would have gladly boarded any plane hahaha Then, than who gives a shit

1

u/Kyr-Shara 1d ago

news from the future: supreme court just ruled corporations are Gods and Trump Org is the supreme ruler of all things

1

u/praguepride 1d ago

You could absolutely make a modern analogy using ICE in place of the Romans.

Jesus immigrates, starts preaching love and devotion. Trump gets angry that someone is stealing the spotlight and dispatches ICE onto him. Jesus agrees to go with ICE peacefully but ICE overreacts and shoots him and Jesus lies dying in the street still saying how he forgives everyone.

1

u/Deep_Joke3141 1d ago

That’s why we have Mormon America’s Jesus.

1

u/Bad-job-dad 1d ago

Yeah, like the Jewish god and the Muslim god. They're the worst /s

1

u/enigmaticsince87 1d ago

Wait till they find out Jesus is Palestinian.

1

u/tyduncans0n 1d ago

Unless the Mormons are correct!

1

u/Jaded_Heat9875 1d ago

What’s almost unbelievable now is Christians DENYING WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE HARD-COVER-WORDS-IN-PRINT-WELL-ESTABLISHED BIBLE!!

IT’S LIKE: Jesus said…well that’s wrong…well it’s right here in the Bible…well that’s wrong…but how…it’s wrong and I’m not going by that..you say you’re a Christian however you wouldn’t follow Jesus…I wouldn’t follow the Bible, but I follow Jesus’s teachings…But Jesus’s words, the teachings are there in the Bible to help you lead a Christian life…but I would follow the teachings of Jesus…

And On And On…Infinitum…

The Grand Inquisitor tells Christ that he cannot allow him to do his work on Earth, because his work is at odds with the work of the Church. The Inquisitor reminds Christ of the time, recorded in the Bible, when the Devil presented him with three temptations, each of which he rejected. The Grand Inquisitor says that by rejecting these three temptations, he guaranteed that human beings would have free will. Free will, he says, is a devastating, impossible burden for mankind. Christ gave humanity the freedom to choose whether or not to follow him, but almost no one is strong enough to be faithful, and those who are not will be damned forever. The Grand Inquisitor says that Christ should have given people no choice, and instead taken power and given people security instead of freedom. That way, the same people who were too weak to follow Christ to begin with would still be damned, but at least they could have happiness and security on Earth, rather than the impossible burden of moral freedom. The Grand Inquisitor says that the Church has now undertaken to correct Christ’s mistake. The Church is taking away freedom of choice and replacing it with security. Thus, the Grand Inquisitor must keep Christ in prison, because if Christ were allowed to go free, he might undermine the Church’s work to lift the burden of free will from mankind

Christianity started in Africa. The Ethiopian Bible is one of the oldest versions.

1

u/NearEastMugwump 1d ago

one of the oldest versions.

If what you're saying is true, why isn't the Ethiopian Bible THE oldest version?

u/BaronGodis 1d ago

There is so many American countries who are Christian as fuck

But usa is the only one with heresy
