Best question... So why wasn't he? If the premise is that if he hadn't been president he would be a 5 star general. He didn't become president until he was 70. He wasn't in the military at all. So what was the expectation, that if he was to lose the presidential election, he would have joined the military for the first time at 70 and immediately become the highest rank you can get?
I know this is a magat but it is always shocking to see what their fevered brains will come up with.
In no world does this happen. It's harder to do this than to become president and would take a lifetime of actual work.
