Why doesn't Ed Sheehan cancel. Taking a stand for the first amendment isn't taking a side politically.

True. However you forgot the other part which would have made your point 1000x more credible. "Good point, it's not a first amendment issue, I lack knowledge of basic civics and responded emotionally. That said..."
