They're massively, blindingly insecure. They want superficial thanks because they want affirmations even though they aren't doing anything to be thanked for.

They do want thanks. They're also making fun of her and laughing about the lives they've ruined, but there's a reason why every cabinet meeting starts by going around the room and having everyone thank Trump for being the greatest president of all time, telling him what an honor it is to work for him, licking his balls until every last bit of shit is gone and he's ready for his clean diaper. It's because these colossally toxic narcissists are the most insecure people on the planet.

That's true, but those people are really fucking insecure too. Have you seen the size of Putin's table? Or the video where he criticizes someone in his cabinet and the guy apologizes profusely?
