I wouldn’t delete. Every monument to their stupidity needs to be preserved.

Oh I’ve got all this preserved on my phone but iffy about leaving it tied to my account but I’ll just private my account. I want to continue to get access to these types of posts so while it is a stretch I don’t want this to come back on me.

It's the internet. It's tied to your account. When you delete your reddit account your comments are not deleted. Then there is the wayback machine and internet archives to keep in mind. And then all the other entities that scrape the internet but don't maintain websites showing what they scraped.

I do the same thing sometimes, say something I know could cause me problems and delete it, but when I do, I know it's not really gone.
