Send me songs. Happy songs. Sad songs. Love songs. Songs that make you dance. Songs that you want to send to someone but couldn't. Songs you've been listening to for weeks. Songs that you want the whole world to listen to

Hey guys.

I hit that point where I stopped even listening to music, lost my old Spotify and am rebuilding. 😅

Currently trying to rebuild my sad/melancholy/haunting Playlist. Into all different genres but im a weirdo. Kind of music that meant to be listened to on a dark rainy day alone in a dark room. Not into T Swift or much poppy current mainstream artists. There are definitely exceptions but not huge on all that.

Think like - The Smiths, The Cure, Lil Peep, Cigs after Sex, Manchester Orchestra, Depeche Mode, etc.

Please shoot me your recs!! Thank you

My favourite bands in no particular order are
Megadeth
Metallica up to load + death magnetic
Children of Bodom
Pantera
Slayer only 80s
Nirvana
Alice In Chains only 90s
L7
Soundgarden
Some slipknot
Some Rage against the machine
Thanks any help is appreciated!

I am dyslexic so if they’re any grammar mistakes i’m sorry

Hi, I've been having a pretty bad time with my interests lately. Even when I know I like the song I just don't wanna click. I keep scrolling..

So I was thinking maybe it's because I've heard the same songs over and over, sometimes even in the same order.

Can you please give me songs to try listening to so that maybe I break this curse?

I feel like I need to listen to music but j can't can't find anything anymore.

I usually listen to stuff like Kamijo and Verssailes, HYDE, twisted wonderland, ensemble stars (mostly valkyrie crazy:B and Ryuuseitai), paradox live (mostly Goku Luck, Akanyatsura and now the new song from illgator. I do like blue flame too tho) or romanian stuff like și afara ploua ploua, cine cine or la bunica by noaptea târziu 😂

Thankss!

Long drive, any mood ill fix the order, california pacific coast highway. All ages, girl guy.

I love bands like The Seeds, Eden's Children, Nazz and the Action. Can you give me some recommendations to similar bands?

Sort of a specific request. But it feels like such a unique vibe!

There's a specific feeling i live for from tracks like Stormbound by Clark S. Nova, Heart of Darkness by Grim Salvo or Lost by Bring Me The Horizon, where the music ramps up and the vocals become increasingly strained or erratic that feels like losing yourself to a bout of mania, and i find those songs are what ground me when I'm feeling at my lowest.

I'm not especially picky about genre, but given the context, it seems something metal-adjacent fits well, but for what it's worth, i like jazz and ambient music, too.

1. Trench - Twenty One Pilots
2. Sam’s Town - The Killers
3. In Rainbows - Radiohead
4. good kid, m.A.A.d city - Kendrick Lamar
5. DAMN. - Kendrick Lamar
6. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
7. Clancy - Twenty One Pilots
8. The Joshua Tree - U2
9. Portal - Balu Brigada
10. Abbey Road - The Beatles
11. Breach - Twenty One Pilots
12. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
13. Seldom Seen Kid - Elbow
14. Silver - Jady
15. Demon Days - Gorillaz
16. Hot Fuss - The Killers
17. Blurryface - Twenty One Pilots
18. Vessel - Twenty One Pilots
19. Napalm - Jady
20. Section 80 - Kendrick Lamar

NOTE: I've probably listened to every album by every artist on here, so please suggest new things!

Hewo, I’m a person who enjoys all kinds of music. I was wondering if there was any gothic band or songs that are similar to my main genre of music. I like to consider my main genre of music to be grunge or something similar, a few songs I enjoy are “breathe by overgrown”, “(re)-extract by split chain and softcult”, “half in red by grommet”, “joy thief by dosser”, and “brahmastra by druidess”. There all song I enjoy and somewhat fit into the grunge genre somewhat. If there’s any songs similar to them or more closer to the 90s grunge era as well. It would help me out so much when it came to finding more music.

I firmly believe that getting an artist's work on vinyl is a great way to support them.

However, there are plenty of artists who have made plenty of money before streaming largely ruined the financial benefits of a music career.

So I'm asking for your recommendations for albums released post 2012 (not reissues) that any self-respecting music afficiando would have in their collection.

I love a funky bass line. And adore music with an orchestral element. Can anyone suggest a song that has both?

Yooo, Spotify keeps recommending me the same stuff over and over, so thought I’d ask here!

Favourite band at the moment is Don Broco. Absolutely love everything they’ve put out, but I’m struggling to find another band that scratches the same itch.

My taste varies quite a lot 😭 Some bands I’m into are Boston Manor, Basement, Guilt Trip, State Champs, The Story So Far, Unpeople, Static Dress, Malevolence, Bilmuri etc.

I’m pretty open genre-wise, just love sick drums, chuggy riffs, massive choruses, fat bass and great production.
Would especially love some newer or smaller bands that deserve more attention rather than the usual recommendations you see everywhere. Hit me with anything!

someone described Selected Ambient Works 1 by Aphex Twin as this and I thought it was so oddly perfect. I'm curious if anything else out there has this kind of vibe.

cool ahhh charisma-filled music influenced by blues and jazz pleaseeeee if it's from the 60s/70s it'll be even better

I really like the 2013 sounding, atmospheric/cloud rap. Or even just calming rap recommendations! (Also basically any 6lack song I like lol.)

Some examples of what I’m looking for is below, I have even more I can suggest but I don’t want to put TOO much!

Can’t Fall In Love - Amaré

Teleport 2 Me, Jamie - WZRD, Desire

Running on E - Brent Faiyaz

Swervin’ - XY

One Last Thing - Mac Miller

Angels (When She Shuts Her Eyes) - Mac Miller

One Way - 6lack, T-Pain

Do Or Die - Joey Fatts

Keep It G Pt II - Joey Fatts, A$AP Rocky

Too Bad I Have To Destroy You Now - Kid Cudi

Going To The Ceremony - Kid Cudi

Don’t Trip - Zacari

XO / The Host

Hey everyone! Looking for some great recommendations for indie songs to add to a running playlist. NOT interested in well-known bands or acts -- really want some "off the beaten path" (pun intended?) tracks that I can sort of claim for myself haha. Love anthemic tracks, synthpop and alt-pop to the front of the line. Thanks for your help!

THIS ISN‘T AN PROMOTION!!

Hello people of reddit!

Me and my team are currently working on making an startup company named “pour la vie” (“for the life“ in french) we’re doing this as a school project, we’re creating recipes, cooking them and selling them school events, prom and special occasions.

One of my tasks is creating an playlist that we could use when selling them. We’re looking for an professional and elegant type of music around 90 up to 110 bpm (it keeps attention for the costumers and edges them to buy more because the brain automatically syncs with the bpm when a song is played) preferably without lyrics but it wouldn’t be a problem if there are any as long as they are subtle.

I am literally pleading for help because I listen to more hardcore stuff like gabber or tekk and I have no idea about this type of music.

songs similar to rated x by miles davis, end of right off by miles davis, end of halleluhwah by can, 24 track loop by this heat, and four organs by steve reich are what i’m looking for
IMPORTANT NOTE: looking for organ NOISE, not melodic material - reference songs listed above

I'm thinking of music such as noah kahan or laufey. I have been trying really hard to get over my driving anxiety and I think if I have new albums to listen to while I drive I will have something to look forward to + I'll get to branch out from the typical music I listen to :) I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Specifically, techno tracks with euphoric words over the top (like 'let it go', 'higher' etc.).

Building a fun playlist based on before and after theme. A game we can all play.

The Nurse Who Loved Me by Failure

Next song

Me, Myself, and I by De La Soul

I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

Next song starts with Survive...

Your recommendations are welcome...
