Question Can I take an MPE in Year 1?

Emailed CCDS undergrad office and they said that MH3701 (Basic Optimization) is an MPE, so it can only be taken in Year 3, and that I should "stick to recommended curriculum." I want to do it next semester. I meet all the pre-requisites, there is no mention of Year 3 standing in the requirements, and it's only offered in Sem 2 and I don't wanna keep it for Y2S2 (already very hectic) or Y4S2.

Should be possible as long you met the requirements, unless that mod/your office blocks you from registering because you have not met the academic standing yet

Just make sure that it doesnt clash with any of your other mods and final exam dates doesnt clash as well

What's the difference in taking it as a Bde or an mpe?
