I write music inspired by Hot Mulligan, The Wonder Years, Arm's Length, The Story So Far, and Free Throw: melodic, loud, riff-heavy, with room for quieter acoustic parts too. I've already written and recorded enough songs for an EP and I want to build them out with a full band. After that we keep writing together. I can send instrumentals upon request. For singers I can send the lyrics too. I'm looking to mainly work on originals, I do not want to be another cover band.

I'm looking for a guitarist who can play rhythm and lead (tapping or twinkle-style parts are a bonus, not a requirement), a vocalist, and a drummer who can handle tempo and feel changes without losing the groove. I want people who actually love this style of music.

• Structure: I’ve studied with Berklee-affiliated teachers in the past and really clicked with that structured approach to theory and the fretboard. I'd love to find someone with experience in that method who can help me build off that foundation.
• Goals: My main focus is applying theory/structure toward songwriting and arrangement.
• Style: I mostly play rhythm-heavy indie rock and folk (think Gregory Alan Isakov, etc.). However, since I often play solo, I also like mixing in some funk and rock licks/lead playing to keep things dynamic when I'm playing alone.

We're looking for a drummer that's interested in that vibe and can drum like on those records. This type of project requires a good drummer or it doesn't work. All three of us are in and around the music scene so have avenues for shows and ways to record and such when things come together.

41 year old Drummer from Hudson County here. Really interested in doing an emo-rap/pop-punk crossover project with live drums and other live instruments.
