35/M Bassist looking to start a new emo / post-hardcore band. Guitar, vocals, and drums needed.

I write music inspired by Hot Mulligan, The Wonder Years, Arm's Length, The Story So Far, and Free Throw: melodic, loud, riff-heavy, with room for quieter acoustic parts too. I've already written and recorded enough songs for an EP and I want to build them out with a full band. After that we keep writing together. I can send instrumentals upon request. For singers I can send the lyrics too. I'm looking to mainly work on originals, I do not want to be another cover band.

I'm looking for a guitarist who can play rhythm and lead (tapping or twinkle-style parts are a bonus, not a requirement), a vocalist, and a drummer who can handle tempo and feel changes without losing the groove. I want people who actually love this style of music.

I've got a full time job and other commitments, so touring stays limited to weekenders. Once we learn the songs, I can get us booked on local gigs myself. I already have the connections for that.

are there rehearsal spaces near forest hills/briarwood area in queens? currently carless, all i can find online is places where id commuting 1 hour to brooklyn to pay 200$+ for a single day a week at a space with no storage. looking for a monthly spot with amps and drums for classic guitar based solo/band rehearsal.
