Discussion First Time Attending a TNF Game – Parking Advice

I'll be attending my first game at Metlife for the TNF game and will be driving in from Long Island. Since it's my first time, I'm trying to figure out the best parking situation.
Should I buy a parking pass in advance, or are there cheaper alternatives nearby? Is parking at the stadium worth it, or would you recommend parking somewhere else?
I'm planning on driving because the game ends pretty late, and I'd rather not deal with taking the train back to Long Island that late at night.
Any advice on parking, traffic, or getting out of the stadium after the game would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
