Social anxiety, my worst enemy in the world, I gave it a big fat smack in the face. I was feeling shit all day bcuz I've got no social life and was mulling over regret and crying and whining about list chances. Then I thought. Nah, I don't wanna be like that. So I went to a cafe with laptop and study materials. I sat in a table and made it look like I was working. I saw a girl sitting there. I asked her smth in nepali. And she said she did not understand. And I immediately defaulted to my basic instinct to flee from the scene. Then I sat near her. And then I decided, I wanted to talk to a stranger, no matter how short. Especially if she is a girl and a foreigner. A great great hurdle for me. I was not content with just asking directions. I wanted to talk. Or at least approach her.

So to work up courage, i had to go near her table but chickened out multiple times. And it forced me to order expensive ahh cake. Because who tf just goes back to his seat halfway up the path. I ordered that expensive ahh cake bcuz everything was expensive af. I was really frustrated with my inability to talk to a stranger. I was beating and getting stressed by the second. Finally, when I was planning to leave. I said fk it. And walked straight to her table without any thoughts. I asked, "Are you from china?". And she replied, "No, I am from Japan." Then my mind again defaulted, to factory settings and I immediately made my escape. But this made me really happy. Because I know I am not hopeless. I approached someone not just to ask for directions, But with the intent to start itself. Although I may have chickened out today. I will try until, I can hold a proper conversation with a stranger + girl + foreigner (maximum hurdle).
