They are descendants of those who first betrayed Rus and then stole her name, muscovites don't deserve to use word "Rus".
Suzdal princes betrayed their blood related brothers, collaborated with mongols, collected tribute on their behalf (and stole part of it, very unexpected development I'm sure) and even led punitive expeditions against Kyievan princes, and after that Muscovy czsardom just named itself a Greek word for Rus. Asswipes, all of them, for 800 years straight.
You realize what happened to city states that resisted the Mongols too hard right? Complete annihilation, "collaborated" is a crazy word here when Iran's population didn't recover from what was done to them until the 1950s.

Yeah, Kyiv was effectively burned to the ground, and never quite bounced back to where it was before... Until now, perhaps.
But also, not every Slavic center had to suck that sweet Mongolian dick for "Grand Principality" titles.
Tver resisted, and if Moscow didn't help crush the uprising and instead joined Tver, who knows where we'd be today. The Poles did kick Mongols' ass outta Kyiv, they weren't invincible.
Novgorod wasn't taken by the Mongols, for that matter. It was crushed by the Tsars.
I wonder if Poland ever does some really fucked up shit in the future if people are going to accuse them of collaborating with the Nazis in WW2.Where's that coming from, WTF?!
Moscow isn't accused of collaborating with the Mongols.
The Mongols have effectively created Moscovia as a vassal state. The Khans' families intermarried with those of Moscow princes.
Everything I wrote is a historical fact, not aCcUsAtIoN.
It's pretty obvious, being conquered by a brutal empire doesn't mean you are a collaborator. That's something you choose to do willingly which was decidedly not the case lol.
