culture Comic Book Characters who have N.C. roots.
I’m not sure this was allowed, but this appeared on my Instagram feed and I thought it would be cool to share in here.

A lot of these are definitely from obscure runs, the OG Question didn’t have any Outer Banks links that I’m aware of.

This is when officer Renee Montoya from the Batman comics took over The Question mantle. The original Vic Sage died of lung cancer and trained her. I dont think shes technically from NC she moved her base from Gotham to a lighthouse in the outer banks. All that being said A Question HBO series could be so good. We could get a season of Vic, 2 vic training Renee, 3 Renee taking the mantle. Have them uncovering some big conspiracies the DCU.

Weird how Greensboro gets more representation then the entire Triangle.

Back in the 50s through 90s the Triad had major furniture and cigarette industries! More going on there at the time than sleepy Raleigh.
The real question is why anyone thinking up a fantasy world would ever have Raeford cross their mind

"Hey what should we call this fat fuck of a superhero?"
"Hahaha...Butterball because he's just so fat!"
"You're getting a bonus for that one! Where should he be from?"
"How about some bumfuck town in North Carolina where this fat pig just slops down gravy and biscuits all day!"
"Man they're gonna give us a medal for being so progressive with our writing here!"

I got curious and looked up what his powers are? Turns out it's invulnerability. He is literally built southern strong.

Spike is from Charlotte? I thought G1 was based in the southwest.

Batwoman AND Falcon... What did we do to deserve this generosity?

That means bat woman was passed around more than any other comic book character combined

😂 military spouse?

No, lived here since I was 12. Male to female ratio has always been way more men, which lead to a lot of that. Prior service though, can't beat em join em

Oh, that's what I meant - you're referring to military spouses right? Wasn't asking if you were one... I'm a lifer! Coming up on half a century... No military ties, but I've heard plenty of stories from friends.

Your good man 🤣, it's not just the spouses though. When you have every options available it's hard to sit still. Like wise, when competition is fierce, a lot of guys never stop looking

Not to sound like an asshole, but as a kid seeing some of the toned and muscular military guys that some of these big ladies could pull... The power of dat ratio... Crazy. They did not look like Superwoman 🤣 🤣

Not at all, but it's Fayetteville man- every woman gets play out here 🤣. It makes sense, they don't have to compete. Both men and women complain about not being able to find good whichever, and that's another symptom of unbalanced ratios coupled with a very high have and have not situation. New guys coming and going all the time, passing around the handful of available women who seek them out, everyone wondering why the other sucks so bad

The Hulk's U-Foes were our state superhero team during the 50 State Initiative era in the comics.

A Barf movie would surely turn around the MCU! (I have no idea who that is)
