B1G Opponents How...?
You were wide open. The ball was perfect. How in the world did you not get your foot in?
Just an all time choke by the Hoosiers.

Injuries/Lineup Ryan Day: Julian Sayin will 'probably be out several weeks' with injury suffered vs. Indiana
Fuck!

Joke / Sarcasm The best moment of the past year
Defense played their hearts out. Glad the O has a bye week. It felt good seeing the look of defeat on all those Hoosier faces.

General QB1?
Sayin out at least 3 weeks with that elbow hyperextension.
Is JJ as the wildcat QB the best offensive option?
Not a ton of faith in Fahey or TSC. Our defense is so good we could win if we can score at least 17 points.

Injuries/Lineup Day better have a QB #2 prepared. Fahey looked as prepared as keinholz vs mazzou few years ago
Why do our qb #2's looked completely lost when their # is called. Its unacceptable.

B1G Opponents We won the game because we had the better special teams
When was the last time we could say that? 2/2 on kicks when the other kicker was 0/2 and McGuire punted well all day
r/OhioStateFootball • u/post_appt_bliss • 2h ago
General Let's focus on the big picture -- that was Joe McGuire's best punting performance
Coffin corner punt as well!

General DL line WAS INCREDIBLE all game
We forced them to put the ball in the hands of the QB on every down. I said a couple of weeks ago that these guys obviously need to gel and I'm glad they figured their shit out this game. That's all from me, all the complaining we do let's give them boys some love because they won the game for us by forcing IU to throw the ball on every down. Go Buckeyes!!!!

Injuries/Lineup Anyone else think Sayin was playing through an injury the whole game?
I was telling my buddy during the second quarter. Sayin’s play seemed more than just a bad game. Considering all the hits he took last week as well as this week, it seemed like his throwing arm was hurt the whole game and the 4th quarter was just the straw that broke the camels back. Anyone else feel this way or am I crazy?

Injuries/Lineup On November 29, 2014, Ohio State’s season ended after JT Barrett was injured versus scUM
I remember this day like it was yesterday.
Ohio State almost cancelled the season after Braxton Miller was out for the year. But they decided to give it a go with a young JT Barrett.
Tragically, during the biggest rivalry game of the season on November 29, 2014, JT Barrett was carted off the field.
After this devastating moment, the season was pronounced over.
Such a sad season but worth reflecting upon after today’s events.

General I think Fahey vs. St. Clair could be a real competition during the bye week
I don’t think Fahey is automatically the starter just because he’s been getting the majority of the backup reps.
To me, Fahey is more of a like-for-like replacement for Sayin. He can step in and run essentially the same offense without the coaches having to change much.
That makes him the logical choice if Sayin goes down for a few plays or even a game, but it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the better option long term.
St. Clair is obviously extremely talented, and while he’s still a little raw, he’s also bigger, more physical, and brings a different skill set. With how shitty our offensive line has been playing, I think that’s worth considering. I’m worried Fahey would get killed back there, whereas TSC’s size and ability to improvise when plays break down could give us something we desperately need.
I’ve always thought TSC had a legitimate shot at being the starter next season, regardless of where he sits on the depth chart right now. And with a bye week to prepare, the coaches actually have some time to adjust the offense to his strengths rather than just asking him to run Sayin’s.
Ultimately, I think the severity of Sayin’s injury is what determines which direction they go. If he’s only going to miss a game, Fahey probably makes the most sense. But if we’re looking at an extended absence, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a real competition this week. Fahey might be the easiest guy to plug in for Sayin, but TSC might be the guy who gives us the best chance to win games.
But, I’m just a dude on Reddit, I could be completely wrong.
