General DL line WAS INCREDIBLE all game

We forced them to put the ball in the hands of the QB on every down. I said a couple of weeks ago that these guys obviously need to gel and I'm glad they figured their shit out this game. That's all from me, all the complaining we do let's give them boys some love because they won the game for us by forcing IU to throw the ball on every down. Go Buckeyes!!!!

I'm the run game yes. We basically got zero pressure in the 4th

*all game

Matt Patricia is zone heavy but it only works with either a bad QB or the d-line able to get consistent pressure on their own. We got lucky that Hoover was Hooving

I thought early on we forced some errant throws with a little bit of pressure. But by the 4th we got zero unless we blitzed

It was good on run defense, but we struggled to get pressure still.

They played the run extremely well. Held turbo to 16/46 and under 3 yards per carry. Let them keep their safeties back and not let IU push the ball downfield.

Basically this team has 4 DT and no DE. They are beast against the run but bad pass rushing

They used Kenyatta a TON in coverage this game

Hes still not a great pass rusher. Hes probably the best out of what they got but that isn't saying much

They had a good game plan but I’m always at a loss when one receiver is torching us they never try to double and take him away. Not that marsh isn’t capable as well but Becker was obviously Hoover’s go to and we just kept letting that happen.

It's a personnel problem. #6 has been picked on week in week out I actually liked the idea of benching him even though his backup is even way worse. It lets him know his job is in jeopardy and puts him on his toes

Yeah I get that but then make the adjustment and give home safety help against one of the best receivers in the country.

Our DBs need to learn how to play man to man. Devin is a five star we invested a lot of money in and he has enough reps too dating back to last year when he was getting backup reps. Igbinosun, Denzel Burke all these guys weren't perfect but they improved. The guy is just burnt toast all game and he's supposed to be a five star. We play USC next two weeks and bro have you seen that passing attack that guy simply needs to step up otherwise our season is over.

We’re not giving nearly enough help over the top.

That just doesn’t seem to be what Patricia does. Last year we could depend on strong play from our corners. This year not so much.

Crazy when playing against WRs like Becker

How do we get more pressure on the QB? Is it just a scheme we're doing?

Matt Patricia runs a ton of zone but rarely runs zone blitzes, and when he does it’s extremely telegraphed. Idk the specifics but zone d requires the d line to get consistent pressure with 4 man rushes and we don’t

The scheme they are running against IU mostly is 3 DT - in that type of front you need to have LBs coming as DTs aren’t winning pass rush against tackles often. This helped them stop the run but is going to be hard to get to the QB without blitzing

They stepped up big time to completely shut down the best run offense in CFB

Is Kenyatta OK? Heard he went back in but there's pictures of him being helped off the field by teammates after the game was over
