Purchasing Advice - Monitors, Peripherals, Etc. I’m finally getting my own gaming PC! I have $5000 ready to burn, what do I need to know?

Hey so yeah, I have $5000 lying around and I’ve always wanted to get a gaming PC since I’ve been on console my entire life - quite literally

So I want something high end, money isn’t an issue, I have $5000 AUD ready to blow.

I kind of want an MSI Z270 Tomohawk, it’s probably the most insane one right now and I need something with at least 4K since getting 8K is gonna bankrupt the shit out of me. But I’ll get to 8K gaming later, trust trust.

I want 2 monitors. One for gaming and the other for whatever else. Maybe twitch, searching up stuff and etc.

Uhhh specs… Intel Core i7? Is that it? I’m too new to this.

But is that good? Good brand?

Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts Pc build to play valorant 400 fps spending as little as possible

I am looking for a pc build (no periferic)
To play valorant in 1080p all low that can guarantee 400fps in every sitution

I live in eu if thar helps with part costs

I am pretty much new to pc building so any help is appreciated!

Edit

I am willing to build it my self so buying separate parts is fine for me!

I do have a 360hz monitor mainly bought it cuz it was on sale and i wanted a good monitor so thats why i want stable 400fps

I am just trying to understand what a realistic budget for this thing and if i can afford it,otherwise i will just sell the periferics and call it a day

Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts What PC to buy?

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi, I’m looking to buy a PC. I was told by an animating teacher that gaming PC’s are the best to buy for animating.

I’d like to animate/model 3D and 2D art. I’ll be using Blender, Clip studio Paint, Live2d, ToonSquid. Etc

Of course, I’d like to also play games on it: Wuthering waves, ZZZ, genshin, etc.

My budget is $2,500 (AUD) and I’ve found that JB-HiFi is the cheapest. I know nothing about PC’s so please tell me what would be best for games and animation, thank you! There are a few more PC’s on the website I think so if you need to see more, just go to the website or I can send screenshots of the rest.

The information about each PC should be on the website so please help !! 🙏😭 if you need the link or you want me to screenshot the information about one of the PC’s, I will! So just let me know!

I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse ready as well

Completed Build - Rate My Setup / Setup Advice Stressing over my build

Post image
0 Upvotes

I built the PC shown on the screenshot except i swapped out the GPU for an AMD RX 9060 XT 16GB and I'm really stressing over whether this is a good build or not for me. I spent over 2,000 euros on this due to the sheer inflation of the market where I live.

My main target is playing competitive or less demanding games on my 360hz monitor at atleast 240+ fps. These games include valorant, cs2, wow classic, wow retail, FFXIV, RuneScape and so on.

I also want to play some AAA titles like MH wilds, cyberpunk, the Witcher remastered etc. on MAX settings at 1080p, I'm not interested in 1440p it doesn't appeal to me.

I heard some really mixed opinion on this build, people told me it's trash and I already paid for it so I was wondering if I made a good choice and if I'll get what I am expecting. Thanks in advance.

Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts $1500-2000 budget for entire pc setup, including peripherals

I want a high end pc that can do these 4 things

  1. run fortnite in performance mode at a somewhat consistent 300 fps
  2. run virtually any minecraft mod with shaders
  3. run certain games at 4k
  4. run multiple things like ~10 tabs, spotify, discord screen share & a few other things

I cannot go over this budget since i’ll have to wait longer than 2 weeks if i go over 2k for everything.

I really want this pc within 2 weeks since 1 week from now will make 1 month since my low-end pc of almost 6 years broke. I’m slowly going crazy without my pc

Already own an SSD; Crucial - P310 1TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe M.2

I can use my brother’s 180hz monitor for the meantime aswell if I need to use that ~$150-200 on the pc tower

I 100% need a GPU,CPU,32GB of DDR5,PSU,CASE,FANS,(new headset, desk, chair can come later, but still recommend good stuff if you can)

No, I’m nowhere near a microcenter sadly (Memphis,TN)

1 cable PSUX8 --> pcie 6+2
1 cable 12 pines(600w dice) -->pcie 2 x 8

Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts I been looking at pre-built gaming PC's - but realistically - how hard is it to build my own?

I have a gaming laptop - Lenovo Legion 5i 15.1 inch OLED WQXGA Laptop, Core i9 14900HX, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8GB

For whatever reason and for the life of me - I can not figure out how to use it for streaming - to YouTube or Twitch or anything. The game wants to play in a tiny window and I can't control the streaming settings on the laptop screen. I can't get it to play the game full screen on an external monitor and also control the OBS Studio (or any streaming software) on the laptop screen. The mouse pointer absolutely will not move from screen to screen. Anyway - it's fine for playing without streaming.

Moving on - I'd like a desktop I can hook up 2 (or 3) monitors to. I think this will be a better streaming option. I been looking at Best Buy and Micro Center - roughly spending bout $2500 on a desktop, and another $1000-$1500 on 2 monitors.

I'm thinking.....I can build a pretty badass gaming desktop for $2500, a lot better than I can buy one pre-built and I've always wanted to build my own anyway.

So realistically - for someone that's never built a PC before but does have a general understanding of what I need - case, power supply, graphics card, processor, OS, RAM, GPU, audio/video, etc.

How easy would it be? OR should I not risk spending a couple thousand on a first time PC build? Thanks for your time!

*edit, forgot to mention games I like to play - Farming Simulator, RDR2, GTA5 & 6 (although these I'll play on PS5), American Truck Simulator. Not really heavy resource usage games.

Ho trovato un sito che vende un pc a 2500€ con queste specifiche:

Case: NOUA Noob XK100 Case PC Gaming ATX | 4 Ventole ARGB Preinstallate | Pannello Frontale e Laterale in Vetro Temperato Panoramico | Porta USB Type-C ** **
Alimentatore : 750 WATT 80 Plus Gold

Mainboard : B850 DDR5 (Hdmi- 3.0 Usb - 2.0 Usb - WiFi - Lan) con Wifi e Bluetooth integrato

Cpu : Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Scheda Video: RX 9070 XT 16GB

Ram : 32Gb DDR5 6000MHz
Ssd : NVME 1000Gb
DISSIPATORE A LIQUIDO 360mm

Sistema Operativo : Windows 11 Pro 64bit

Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts Is this ₹90.5K PC build worth it for gaming and video editing?

Build:

- i5-14400F – ₹14K

- Gigabyte B760 DDR4 – ₹7K

- 16GB DDR4 3200MHz – ₹8K

- Crucial 480GB SSD – ₹8K

- RTX 3050 6GB – ₹26K

- Cabinet + 600W PSU – ₹6.35K

- LG 24” monitor + keyboard/mouse

Total: ₹90,506 including GST (Indian Rupees)

My budget is strictly ₹90K, and I can't go higher. The RTX 3050 6GB is available for ₹26K locally, while other shops are quoting around ₹30K.

Is this build worth buying, or should I change some components? My main uses are gaming, video editing, YouTube and freelancing.

Please suggest the best improvements within my budget.

Im so lucky to trust my instincts and decide to build a PC before the price going up. I got the gpu for $1050 back then. Luckily my friends also gave me some leftover peripherals like mouse, keyboard and monitors, which mean i can cut cost even more. Never touch my Xbox ever since, its a strong card, even for the next 2 years i think. Can play any triple A games with ease
