KFC isn't doing well and Pepsi wasn't going to put too much effort into renewing. At the same time Kfc is looking for ways to bring in new customers. And they think changing sodas will do that.

It’s definitely the beverage selection and not the 50 dollar bucket of chicken without the sides, that’s the problem with kfc

I can’t count how many times I have told a customer that they are not here for the drinks selection.

PepsiCo owned kfc years ago. You’d think it’d be a lock to have a forever contract with YUM. What an embarrassment

Always look to leadership. It's failed to do its job on every aspect. Needs to change.

How is that possible I thought KFC was a part of YUM? Which is owned by Pepsi ?

Pepsi spun YUM off 30ish years ago and the mega contracts all started to reach term within the last few years.

I went to KFC for the first time in a while recently and thought I was gonna get a five dollar box because that’s what they used to cost, I paid like 15 or 20 bucks for the same shit I got years ago and the quality seems worse than it was before if not at the very least the same as before. I don’t think I’m ever gonna go to KFC again just because what the fuck.

Probably a business decision not to invest in them, but Pepsi really cannot handle any more negative press. I would have a hard time partnering with pep now given all of the issues. The frustration isn’t worth it especially when there is a better product out there.

I’m not sure Coke is a better product, and I think their entire lineup is subpar. Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper each have products that beat out the rest of Coke’s lineup.

Once they took on that poppi nasty acquisition, and paid that poppi founder all that money for that nasty ass prebiotic nonsense lol, Pepsi went to shit. And been trying too pull themselves out that hole for a long time. While hiding the fact it was that poppi move all along!

I’m personally so surprised people are shocked by this. I know this is just one persons opinion, but trying to get my husband to go to a restaurant that serves Pepsi instead of coke is usually a deal breaker.

This is truthfully the first year I've actually been a little unnerved about the future of this company.
Historically it's blow for blow, Coke takes something, then Pepsi takes something.
But it really is just L after L this year.
