Discussion This reality is truly worse than hell

Is it just me or is there a strange comfort in absolute certainty. Yeah, the idea of hell may seem horrific but at least you know exactly what your fate is and how things will play out.

We on the other hand are stranded on the verge of anticipation. Waiting for something that we have no control over. Does that not cause the most psychological suffering out of all things?

And the worst part of it all, we are given small fragments of hope. Hope that is just enough to keep us waiting but never enough for us to feel safe.

Picture this, isn't a person be more fearful when anticipating going to say prison rather than when they are already there. Is one not terrified at the possibility of a developing a medical condition rather than when they actually have it and when they can face it with certainty?

I truly believe that if the concept of "hell" is a possibility. Then we are already in it.

Also I am sorry if I could not articulate this well but its something that has been on my mind for quite some time now.

“I truly believe that if the concept of ‘hell’ is a possibility. Then we are already in it.”

Schopenhauer likes your framing:

“In order to have a sure compass always in hand for finding our bearings in life, and in order to view life always in the proper light without ever going astray, nothing is more useful than to accustom oneself to regarding this world as a place of penance, hence as a prison, a penal colony as it were, a labour camp as it was already called by the oldest philosophers ..

This view of the world also finds its theoretical and objective justification not only in my philosophy, but in the wisdom of all times, namely in Brahmanism, Buddhism, in Empedocles and Pythagoras… Cicero ..

If one has adopted this habit, then he will adjust his expectations of life to suit the matter, and accordingly will no longer regard its repugnancies, sufferings, torments and distress as something exceptional and unexpected, but instead will find them to be entirely in order, knowing well that here everyone is punished for his existence..”

For this world is hell. Humans on one hand are the tormented souls and on the other the devils in it.

Yeah this world is a suffering machine. Happiness, excitement and fun are just temporary little break from long arduous pain or boredom. You also have to work for it and strategize to get there. While suffering easily arrives at you uninvited, offering its many different flavors for you to taste.

It reminds me of an episode of the original twilight zone where the main character thought that he was still alive on earth after an incident but was told by the devil at the end of the episode that he was actually in hell

If this is hell I’m pretty optimistic about the future. My usual depiction of hell is an endless pain from constantly being on fire but never dying, and experiencing a constant spiritual agony from being disconnected from god or some other source of good will. People burn to death here or get eaten alive by ants and stuff but at least that’s a relatively immediate and fleeting pain compared to the nightmare visions depicted in some versions of Christian hell.

Yes your right I beleive the non physical astral realm is the true absolute realm of hell which is infinitely better then our physical realm where the first things of truth and a sense of friction are real rather then fantasy. I think the mental realm is the first realm
That isn’t truly hell where were partially free but trapped where we all mock each other where our own creations our better then the other souls creations where ego and compassion are mixed together rather then totally false in the physical realm. I beleive you’re not out of the unpleasant realities until you get above the mental plane. I also beleive that even the physical realm that’s suppose to be absolutely worse then hell has some civilizations that loop absolutely utopian and full of clarity compared to ours.

I beleive humanity is living in that level of ignorance that we are the worst part of a realm that’s worse then hell while finding everything amazing and irreplaceable about the life I believe that mentally actually originates from being in a realm that’s below hell.

I also beleive most souls here if they lived in the crappy mental plane that’s far better then any perfect utopia that could ever conceptually envisioned here would be considered an absolute immoral hell to most of us from mockery and raw mine is better then yours while existing in below absolute zero friction

We're actually in purgatory; there are levels to it.

Purgatory is a walk in the park compared to hell still.

Dude I have some great news for you. You just described exactly what every scripture is trying to illuminate with the word hell. There is no actual hell that you go to after life. The word hell is used as a symbol to awaken you. What they are saying is this: if you don't realize what reality actually is, then you will experience life as hell right now (that's what they mean when they say you are going to hell. By viewing the world that way you "go to hell". You transport yourself into hell). So if you focus on situations, circumstances and outcomes, and thus act like a selfish, scared, vengeful fool, then you will experience reality as hell. When you realize reality and existence as one, then you realize your true nature, and there is no longer anything to fear or desire.

So the good news is that you've at least realized that reality feels like hell when it is viewed in terms of circumstances and situations. So you are very close to the full realization. Just keep meditating on reality and your existence and soon you will go beyond how you view reality now, and it will open up as eternal emptiness. Cheers brother.

It's the hope there's a way out that makes those negative emotions. The goal of the emotions is to guide action to modify the outcome. If your destiny is sealed, those emotions aren't needed.

Sorry, I am not able to fully understand. Are you worried that when you die you are just gone forever? If that's so, that's the thought I keep having every single day, and it terrifies me.

The possibility that when I die I am gone forever is the only thing that brings me comfort.

What is that you are terrified of then?

I'm not afraid of not existing . but i am afraid of me suffering continuous unbearable pain which can happen only while I'm alive.

Even trying to escape it brings more, and often worse, pain.

The thought of permanent annihilation can terrify you only as long as you are conscious. Once you die, your consciousness ceases to exist, so there's no suffering at all afterwards. The best thing about death is that it frees the person from the fear of death itself.

Are you worried that when you die you are just gone forever?

No. Because that'd be too easy. You just get to cease to exist? That seems almost optimistic. No, when you die, Sithrak tortures you forever, whether you were good or not.

When you die, you got recycled back again to earth with new body. Earth isn’t exactly hell but farm. Just like cow farms exist to feed billion of humans, earth exists to feed dark entities /archons. All living things on earth are essentially produce. Human children are the best of all. Thats why traumatizing them is essential for energy harvesting, it’s like big feast to the entities, maybe it’s similar to veal when it comes to beef consumption

When you die, you got recycled back again to earth with new body.

Well, your matter does, but you're obviously not your matter, and given that you cannot recall this recycling, it means your consciousness has been extinguished and you are gone. However, the last thing your consciousness will experience is dying, which is generally not an unpleasant process, and this process will essentially remain on display forever like a computer that has crashed and is displaying the last thing it did, with no one to pull the plug. Thus, your dying moments are dragged out to subjective infinity, like the inverse of being sucked into a black hole: Everyone else sees you just die and decompose, but for you, that moment never ends: Sithrak tortures you forever.

Consciousness is eternal though. We experience fear and pain because we have the body, once the body is gone, all the experiences on earth both the good and the bad didn’t matter to it , sort of like a play , a game or a role.

The pain only exists when consciousness caged by physical body. I think the moment of death, when consciousness finally separated from the body is the moment of liberation/freedom, regardless the way you you die. It’s the moment of knowing that what it experienced in the human form was not real. It was all game. However there are some higher entities who will persuade and trick consciousness to go back to earth and play more games. Their goals is to harvest energy from the new human body, it is like a battery to them. The entities need the energy that comes from human bodies. Hence our suffering is essentially bc we have a body. Consciousness has a choice either to go back to earth or to continue its journey playing in different realms or go straight to total stillness to source.

Consciousness is eternal though.

It isn't. It's possible to just turn it off. No one is even entirely sure what it consists of, just that it can be killed. And if it isn't turned off properly, things go very wrong.

Nah man id much rather live here in this hell rather than be tortured for eternity. But i do like your framing and it is interesting to think of existence like that but there is no way i would rather have my nails ripped off every day instead of this. Also there is peace is knowing you live in hell so is it really hell anymore?
