Question Fresh cut up pumpkin for cooking

Where to buy? They had some at freshco on brock but it did not look very good. Has anyone seen the precut stuff around? Looking to make some pumpkin soup

Why not buy a pumpkin and cut it up? I don't think this is very commonly sold as precut. Closest would be frozen butternut squash cubes?

You can buy pie/sugar pumpkins for eating; I wouldn't try to eat a 'jack o lantern' pumpkin.

And yeah, butternut squash is going to work in any soup recipe.

Vendors at both Farmers Markets should have pumpkins for sale. You’ll be hard pressed to find pre-cut pumpkin.

If you don’t have any issues with fine-motor skills it doesn’t take much time to gut a pumpkin. Roast with the skin on, it’ll be easier to peel off when cooked. And you can blend in into any soup!

Cut up a pumpkin, roast the seeds and leave the leftovers for the squirrels

butternut or Kabocha squash work well for soup! (squash and pumpkins are basically the same thing but different variety's)
