Useful Get a nice discount on Pimax headsets
I've setup a github page that makes it super easy and simple to access affiliate codes to get major discounts on all sorts of VR hardware, including Pimax. Some of the headsets are up to $200 off.

Discussion Dream AIR is incredible, first impression (iRacing)
Hi guys,
Got the Dream AIR (SLAM edition) the last few days, I did the apple dual knit band mod immediately as a friend at work has a 3D Printer. Also take my opinion with a pinch of salt, I have a beefy PC, 64gb RAM, 5090 Card, 9950X3D CPU... which I got to get back into simracing after years of saving.
The device (albeit with apple mod) just works and is so god damn comfy. Out of the box plugged it in, did the eye tracking calibration and 1 or 2 settings in Pimax Play. Straight into iRacing and set myself up, and into races. Flawlessly worked, and the quality is unbelievable. I can read text, get 90fps easily.. I was using foveated rendering and cannot notice it. I am so impressed. Im itching to play on my next days off from work!!
Now, I have returned to simracing recently, as I gave up gaming for a few years when I married and had kids, so my last experience is using Oculus CV1 for 2 years, with a not so beefy PC.. i am very happy with my purchase.
Also to add, I got a steam frame almost a week or two after the reservations. I was very disapointed in the quality for iRacing when PCVR streaming, so I sold it for cost price, which is why I got the dream air. Although, I think it has to be an issue overall with simracing games on frame and wireless streaming not keeping up, alot of people having those issues, maybe they can iron it out with software updates or increased bitrates.

Official News Simracing Expo, Frankfurt. Packed demo seats, and so many sim racers either already in VR or ready to make the jump. The shift is real
Question Dream Air questions
Hi, I am considering upgrading to the Dream Air from my Reverb G2.
I am only using it seated, for sim racing. iRacing, ACC, AMS2
Would appreciate if owners who have experience with these sims could answer my questions.
The main draw of the Dream Air for me is the better optics and display and higher resolution that I can actually use because of foveated rendering + eye tracking.
Does iRacing’s built in foveated rendering + eye tracking work well?
In other titles that don’t have this built in, does the Pimax software provide it? If not, can you use OpenXR toolkit for eye tracked foveated rendering?
I have a 4090 + 9800x3d so I can run VR with decent settings in these titles. I use fixed foveated rendering with a relatively large full res area and about 0.6 resolution outside, basically not visible because the G2 is blurry on the edges anyway.
I expect to be able to keep my graphics settings, use the full resolution of the Dream Air where I am looking (which is higher than my current headset’s), compensate for this with more aggressive foveated rendering that I won’t notice because of eye tracking. Is this a realistic expectation?
Thanks in advance!

Tech Support Dream Air blurriness
Hi just raced for the first time in my brand new dream air (I never used VR before) in AMS2 and it was other dimension yes, impresive, but it made it even more evident an issue I noticed from the begining, the blurriness of moving objects, or when I move the head. For example if I stop in the track and a car pass me by it is evidently blurry, if I look to the advertising signs while driving fast they are blurry. I think this is the same effect I noticed in general VR games, when I move the head the image is like blurry till I stop the head.
For what I read I understood this is because the oled panels, the persistence, something like a tradeoff of this technology.
But not sure if the level of blurriness I see is normal, I know this is a big issue in the Dream Air SE because they have worst panels, but I assume the Dream Air should be much better.
Do you guys that use ams2 or similar with Dream air have the same experience?, is there some adjustment that can minimizes this blurriness?

Discussion DA SLAM Eye tracking stability
Hi everyone,
I have been using the DA SLAM for couple of months alongside the Studio From X1-P interface and its 12 mm pad.
I love the headset, but my only concern is the eye tracking. Even though it is kinda harder to calibrate with the XP-1, it still work. However, the eye tracking itself doesn't feel 100% stable for me.
For example, when I try to focus / look at a specific location or item in DCS world, I can see the eye tracking focus are still moving around it in small but annoying movements. I'm not sure if this is normal / following my eyes pupils movements, or it is a problem or defect in mu headsets eye tracking.
Is anyone having similar experience?
Thanks in advance.
