🚀 We just launched the r/PlacementsPrep Discord (Let's build the ultimate student helping community)

Hey everyone 👋

We’ve been seeing a lot of great discussions here on r/PlacementsPrep - interview experiences, preparation tips, resources, and people helping each other out. So I thought… why not a discord server, lol.

We’ve just launched the PlacementsPrep Discord server.

It’s still very new and a bit under construction, so things might look rough around the edges for a while. But the goal is simple: create a place where students can help each other with placements, internships, and preparation.

The idea is to have things like:

• live discussions for DSA / core subjects
• resume reviews and feedback
• sharing interview experiences and job opportunities
• study groups for people preparing together
• and generally helping each other survive the placement season

Right now the server needs people like you to shape it.
Early members will help decide what channels, events, and resources we build there.

If you’re preparing for placements or just want to help others out, come join us.

Let’s build something useful for everyone.

👉 Discord link: https://discord.gg/R58Fk4tgHH

See you there.

Org lowballed me tbh but it's fine coz I'll get increments this new year.

Scored this Off-campus(PBC).

Edit 2: I'm going through DMs one by one. It might take time. Please make sure to post everything you want to ask. I will reply at once only if possible.

Request to everyone here

I have been in this sub for some time but in recent time this sub has become Indian_flex or something like that people just come here to post about them getting placed and most of the post didn't even mention the process of interview the name of the company or anything that can be useful then people have to beg to give out the details. I don't have any problem with this kind of post but I don't think that should be the standard for this sub I think more posts should be about how to prep for placement and if someone is getting placed they should mention their experience and preparation in detail which makes sense. And also moderator should do something about it Let me know what you guys think.

Finallllllly got placed...!

This is my first post on Reddit, so I hope I do this right.
I got results for this yesterday and I still cannot believe I did it , it still feels surreal. and my package is 9LPA , I am so happy and satisfied with that.
So basically a little background, I am in my 7th Semester currently , CSE branch , from Tier-2 college and I am doing a 6 month internship ( yes in my college you do intern in your 7th sem lol ).
and since july , my confidence has been at the rock bottom , I genuinely believed that this whole job in tech thing is not for me and I felt so lost , I did do dsa , and focused on computer fundamentals in my 3rd year but after coming in 4rth year it was like I lost all hope. I wouldnt tell my parents anything cause I believed If i did , they will be stressed as well so its better to suffer alone and because of that I guess I completely stopped practicing dsa and basically stopped working , only internship work ( which was btw so little and not very knowledgeable).
Sometimes to motivate myself I would go on reddit , read other people's placement stories and I really liked this frog post , so I guess I indirectly manifested in my mind that someday I will posting this frog on reddit. haha
Now for the company process:
TBH , i believe there was definitely BIG luck factor that worked out for me.

OA: I had this company's OA around mid september AND I almost MISSED it , it was an online oa. At the beginning I thought this company was only for IT and AI branch so I was ignoring all the notifications from other students about this test, and I still remember I was eating dinner lol , but Ig i decided to ask my friend if cs branch also had its test , and she cursed at me and literally, in only 5 min. remaining to start the test (lol) , I immediatley ran in my room to give. I dont remember about the Oa much but i think there was 3 easy-medium-hard ds questions.

INTERVIEW ROUNDS:
Out of soo many people only 20 students were shortlisted for this , and I couldnt beleive that my name was in that too. So
ROUND 1: It was technical round , First they asked me for intro then they mainly asked me about my resume and its projects , 1 sql query and 1 string related DSA question , It was only 30 minutes interview and I couldnt complete the ds question within the time but I was able to convey them about my approach and it was correct. TBh i thought I wont be getting shortlist furthur for the second round. But I did get shortlisted and I think it was because of my intro , I gave them smile, confidence , and if i was getting stuck somewhere , I was still confident ( LIT "fake it till you make it ")

ROUND 2: the students that gave round 2 before me told me that they were taking it only for 15min and was asking about your projects thoroughly , so I was preparing for that BUT when it was my time , THEY DIDNT ASK A THING ABOUT MY PROJECT LMAO. They simply wanted to see my conversational skills and confidence, I'm assuming. they asked me to solve different puzzles , why traffic light colours are red, green, and so ; etc questions like those. I personally think I nailed those because again, I knew that the companies really love people with confidence , good communication and yes I WAS SMILING throughout the whole interview.

ROUND 3: this was not even a round , this was with hr , they asked me to describe myself , beyond my resume , asked me about my work culture in the internship I am currently in ( Oh boy! I had to lie so much for that lol ) and Idk why but I thought I did bad for the interview , possibly because of the lying . The hr told me we will be receiving the results on that day itself , but it didnt came.
and to make things worse , i got sick , because of stress i totally lost my appetite , I was not eating properly AT ALL , I legit LOST 2kgs in the span of 3-4days and I did not inform my parents at all about the whole interview process, they were not aware about it even a bit ( cause i was scared if i failed , they are going to be sad and eventually that will really break my heart)

then finally came next day , and at 12:45pm I SAW THE EMAIL, BEST TIME AND DAY EVER LOL.
I first told my sibling cause he was the only one who knew about this ( he lives in different city and told him not to tell anyone)
then I went to my parents , with a very sad tone and face haha. and VERY NON CHALANTLY SAID " PAPA Naukri lag gayi" , Oh boy they were so happy , I received the best hug of my life haha, there were tears of joy , it was like a dream tbh.

I know this post has gone very long , and there were too much TMI, but I guess all I want to say ,hang in there guys , you CAN do it. I know a lot of you are like me, feeling lost and all but your good time will def come .

Myntra SDE 6M Interview Experience

Used GPT to draft the experience, here.

Sharing my experience in case it helps someone preparing for Myntra interviews.

1. Online Assessment (OA)

The OA only had technical questions across multiple topics, including:

  • DSA: Min heap deletion, time complexity, linked-list queue operations, and array-related logic.
  • SQL: Joins, constraints.
  • OOPs: Constructors, inheritance, keywords, instance variables.
  • OS and Computer Networks: Semaphores, message switching, VLAN trunking.
  • Programming aptitude: Flowcharts and output-based questions.
  • Coding (2 questions)

2. Interview Round 1 – Problem Solving

This round was eliminatory.

The interviewer asked me to share my screen and put the questions and a few examples in the chat.

Question 1: Unique paths with obstacles

Find the number of distinct paths from the starting cell to a given destination in a grid containing obstacles. You can only move right or down.

Question 2: Search in a sorted 2D matrix

Find an element in a sorted 2D array.

For both questions, I was asked to explain the brute-force, better, and optimal approaches, along with their time and space complexities. After discussing the approaches, I had to write the code in a compiler and run it against the given test cases.

I used vector instead of a regular array. One small thing I noticed was that my answer was coming out as 1 or 0 instead of true or false, but I still qualified for the next round.

The focus was on explaining the approaches, complexity analysis, implementation, and testing the code.

3. Interview Round 2 – Data Structures and Algorithms

This round was also eliminatory.

I was asked two questions:

  1. Trapping Rain Water
  2. Kth Largest Element in an Array

There were no additional questions apart from the initial introduction in either interview. Both rounds were focused almost entirely on DSA problem-solving.

Both the interviews were strictly of 1 hour each.

Hope this helps anyone preparing for Myntra interviews. All the best!

Got off campus Finally

Post image
76 Upvotes

Role : Infosys SP L1

Mode : Off - campus

Tier: Cannot classify, beyond human apprehension

College Name : Wouldn't want them to have even 1% credit, so not sharing this

Some History :

I got shortlisted for 30K PM intern, but offer letter never came, college didn't even intervene even though opportunity was oncampus.

I then bombed a 30LPA final HR + Tech round in 2025, it was also off- campus, recovering from setback another opportunity came across (offcampus 27LPA via unstop) Juspay Hiring Challenge 8 rounds in total, 3 MCQ, 2 Coding Assessment, 1 1:1 interview round in which you might not believe but compiler design was asked based on M+N and M*N problem on Intermediate Representation, 1 Slack round to optimize a problem code (Hackathon B) is probably the easiest to get out due to ignoring fundamentals of Data Structures, Final Round : System Design (HLD)+ DSA + Projects + HR + AI awareness(i bombed the last 2 section and a relatively "easy for someone as SDE 3 , and is expected from a fresher". Since then i did make it to TCS prime via NQT didn't attend the interview as i had some other plans(didn't do that either).

Now to infosys : R1 (Online Assessment) : 2.5/3 the 0.5 couldn't be cleared as it required Matrix Exponentiation to solve it(i didn't knew it back then), R2( Onsite Online assessment at Galgotias University 6th Sep) : 4/4 problems were medium and one of them can be classified as Hard(if you do leetcode every now and then Medium). R3(Interview onsite as KIET 6th Oct) : 2 DSA problems on their portal ,solved both of them, then interviewer wrote another DSA problem to find the K distant neighbors of any Node , wrote the Pseudo Code as asked for interviewer was satisfied, then comes another SQL problem , i got lucky as it was simple JOIN on three tables and then a where clause to filter out tuples, then onto my projects , not grilled a lot on that a lot because i had an intern experience and was able to justify my work there, then surprise LLD and i don't use an OOP language so some of them like design principles were beyond me, but interviewer had a strong review about me then and there he concluded with "Try some OOP based language ,rest are good" and i thought that now i can rest assure and go back, but those Hirepro management guys just won't let me as they scheduled another round at 4 pm (i still don't know what it was for maybe for L2 and i bombed or just L1?) , it wasn't hard as most of the things asked were from my resume, academics and intern and general interests .The interviewer was pretty chill, at the end of the interview , i asked for my review , he said it was "good" and then he asked me about his review from Me(well that's new) as he did ask me about my other interviews too, then asked about what part should he have assessed me more on.
I knew it exiting campus that i am going to have an offer surely and i did.

Also, all of this is due to my family(including my homeboys) that i could make it past the final round atleast once.

Excited to see what future holds for me.

Finally made it out of the trenches, gentlemen. 🐸👑

Post image

I won’t bore you with a long struggle story, but it was a heck of a journey tbh.

With how brutal the current market is rn and coming from a tier-3 college, every rejection felt like a gut punch after endless prep. But the grind finally paid off cracked an offer at one of the world’s largest UK financial market giants as a Graduate Software Engineer!

  • CTC: ~14 LPA
  • College: Tier-3

To everyone still in the trenches: keep your fundamentals rock solid, polish your projects, and hang in there. Your turn is coming...

Cheers! 🥂

After so many rejections, sleepless nights, and moments of self doubt, I FINALLY GOT A JOB OFFER!!! 😭❤️

Post image
654 Upvotes

Damnnnn, WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?! 😭😭

After so many stressful interviews, sleepless nights, self-doubt n sooo much effort, I FINALLY GOT AN OFFER!!! 🥹❤️ An 8LPA JOB GUYSSSS..!! 😭🫶🏻✨✨✨✨

For context, I previously secured an on-campus internship + PPO, but unfortunately, I wasn't offered a full-time role after my internship ended. And honestly, that phase was ROUGH.

I'd been giving interviews one after another (5+), but nothing was working out. Meanwhile, almost all my childhood, school and college friends were placed n I felt like I was the ONLY ONE left behind. It genuinely messed with my confidence. 😶‍🌫️

I'd lost so much hope that I started preparing for GATE in June 2026, thinking that maybe I'd have to take a different path.

BUT GUESS WHAT?!?! I FINALLY GOT A JOB OFFER!!! 😭😭❤️

The interview rounds weren't easy either, but I pushed through, and I DID IT!!!

I'm so relieved & happy that I can't even explain it. It feels like a massive weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders. 🫶🏻 My parents r soo proud of me!!

To anyone struggling with placements, facing rejections, or feeling left behind while everyone else moves forward: I KNOW HOW IT FEELS. It's exhausting it's hard not to question yourself.

I'm not saying everything magically works out, but please don't let your current situation define your worth or make you give up on yourself.

GIRL, WE FINALLY MADE IT!!! 🤗✨

I still can't believe I can finally say this: I GOT A JOB OFFER!!!! ❤️

EDIT: Since many of you asked for details about the interview process, here's a short breakdown for y'all!!

Company: US-based startup firm Role: AI & Products Engineer CTC: 8 LPA This was literally the LAST company to visit our campus for the 2026 batch!!!

Interview Process:- Round 1: Technical + AI Interview

Started with demos of my Full Stack + AI projects. The discussion mainly revolved around AI concepts: RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, fine-tuning, LLMs vs. SLMs, MCP, n8n workflows, etc. They asked WHY I'd chosen specific models, how AI might affect developers, and how I'd approach different problem statements. Tip: Research the company thoroughly! I used LinkedIn and ChatGPT, and they repeatedly asked me detailed questions about the company. Finally, I was given a task to solve using any available AI/LLM tools, which I completed during the interview itself.

Round 2: Collaborative Project (3 days)

Me and one other shortlisted candidate had to work together on a project and present its demo. This tested our teamwork, problem-solving, ideas, and execution.

Round 3: HR Interview

Mostly behavioural questions, particularly around my previous leadership experience.

My biggest takeaway: Be thorough with your projects, understand the AI concepts you've mentioned on your resume, research the company, and be ready to think on your feet. You don't need to know everything, but you should know how to approach a problem! ❤️✨

Gave ZS Associates OA Round 2 on Mettl, and I had a Chrome dark mode extension enabled, so my test screen was black instead of white. Screen recording was also on.(I guess)

Can I get flagged for this? Can anyone share what you think?

2026 passout, unemployed.

Not a single shortlist or any interview call.

Stuck in a loop. Daily applying but not a single positive response.

please suggest me so that I can make my resume stronger. I think I don't have great projects on my resume.... what kind of project I need to build in this AI era to land my first job.

My capgemini communication and technical round experience

Communication Round:

It’s mostly luck.

Technical Round:

For AI Literacy, learn all the basic concepts of GenAI and prompt engineering from ChatGPT.

Important topics: Context Window, RAG, Hallucination.

The technical MCQs were quite hard.

Important topics: SQL, DevOps, Git, and GitHub

50% of students were eliminated after this round

Debugging Round:

You get 25 minutes, which felt less for me. The questions were hard in my shift, while some candidates got easier problems.

AI-Assisted Round:

My question was based on HashMap. The questions will be from linear data structures.

Gaming Round:

The hardest round 😭. I honestly don’t know why they included this round.

ALL THE BEST! :)

Finallly After 2 months of Placement drama and stress got Placed

So for context
I am not a cse guy..... I am from ECE of a tier 1.5 college and fortunately and big VLSI and Semiconductor companies visit our college.
so officially placement season began in august ..from then i legit gave so many OAs and made it to the 2nd round of 5 companies but got rejected at the end.
There were times when legit some companies made us wait at the placement department till 8.30-9:00pm in night just to make us hear
REST OF U CAN LEAVE ,

finallly on OCTOBER 14th
A UK based semiconductor company held its OA and it had declared to conduct the entire interview process and announce the final shortlist on that day itself.
So the process began at morning 9 AM, and continued till 9.45 PM (not lying guys).

finally at 9.45 PM they announced the final selects and I WAS SELETED ......😭💝
i was legit about to cry ... All my hard work , all the late night VLSI grind paid off welll
i got the roleee....... its intern + PBC and the overall ctc will be around 40 LPA.....

even i still cant process the fact that i got such a crazyyy offerr

after the confirmation i called my parents n screamed ki
"papa mummy mera hogayaaaaaaaaa"
they were so happppppy
Now i finallly restttt......

and placement season taught me that
"its always the right person at the right time"
so keep patience and believe in god and your hardwork...
everything will be alright..
Good things take time.......
Good luck to anyone who is preparing ......

bye byeeeeeeee

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. Paytm is coming to my TIER 69 college with massive stipend of 8k per month and as I am in my 7th sem , unplaced and without any internship, I have applied for it.
Its for QA role. Can you help me with the prep. What do they ask and all....
