Capgemini Spring Boot Framework - Debugging & Feature Development Questions

• Upvotes

Has anyone recently appeared for the Capgemini Exceller?

I've found some experiences related to React, Next.js, and Node.js, but I'm specifically looking for the Spring Boot framework.

I'm trying to find out what kind of tasks they ask in Spring Boot, especially:

  • DSA: What kind of coding questions are asked?
  • Debugging: Do they provide an existing Spring Boot project/repository with bugs that need to be fixed?
  • Feature Development: Do they ask you to implement a new feature in an existing project? If yes, what kind of features?
  • Project Structure: Do we need to work with controllers, services, repositories, APIs, database operations, etc.?

If anyone has appeared for this round using Spring Boot, please share your experience or the questions/tasks you remember. Even a rough idea would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Need guide or roadmap..

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm currently a first-year student at a Gen-2 IIT in a circuital branch, and I'm primarily interested in the tech side, especially software development, AI/ML, and potentially high-paying tech roles.

I want to start preparing early from my second year so that I'm well-prepared for internships and placements by my third and fourth years.

I'd really appreciate guidance from seniors, alumni, or anyone who has gone through this process.

A few things I'd like advice on:

- DSA: When should I start, and how much should I aim to complete before internship season?

- Development: Should I focus on web development, systems, AI/ML, or something else initially?

- Projects: What kind of projects actually help in getting shortlisted for internships?

- Core vs tech: How difficult is it for circuital students at Gen-2 IITs to get software/tech placements?

- Internships: How should I prepare for second-year and third-year internships?

- CGPA: How important is CGPA for tech companies, and what should I target?

- Roadmap: If you were starting again in your second year, what would your semester-by-semester plan look like?

My goal is to build strong fundamentals, get a good internship, and eventually land a strong tech offer. I'm willing to put in the work; I just want to make sure I'm focusing on the right things instead of wasting time on things that don't add much value.

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have secured good SDE or AI/ML roles from similar colleges and branches.

Thanks in advance!

Two Years of Preparation, 50+ Applications, and One Opportunity That Made It Worth It — BNP Paribas!

Post image
83 Upvotes

I'm incredibly happy to share that I've been selected for internship + FTE at BNP Paribas India CoE in the Infrastructure Management (DevOps) role, starting in January 2027! 🎉

This achievement means a lot to me because it represents nearly two years of continuous learning, hands-on experimentation, challenges, and persistence.

Over the past two years, I've been building my skills in Cloud Computing and DevOps, exploring technologies such as AWS, Azure, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD, Argo CD, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Alongside learning, I worked on projects involving cloud infrastructure, application development, automation, monitoring, and deployment. I also pursued industry certifications to strengthen my understanding of cloud platforms and infrastructure management.

My goal was never just to learn commands or collect certifications, but to understand how systems work, troubleshoot problems, and build reliable solutions.

🎯 The BNP Paribas Hiring Journey The selection process involved multiple stages:

Resume Shortlisting: Around 260 candidates applied, and I was shortlisted.

Online Assessment: Cleared the assessment and progressed to the next stage.

Hackathon: Participated in the BNP Paribas hackathon at its Bengaluru office on 26–27 September 2026.

Final Selection: Selected for the Infrastructure Management (DevOps) track!

Throughout this journey, I applied to 50+ companies, facing challenges and learning from every experience. This opportunity has made the entire journey especially rewarding.

I'm excited to begin my six-month internship in January 2027, with a ₹50,000 monthly stipend and a ₹25,000 joining bonus. The stated full-time package is ₹8.36 LPA, with conversion based on performance.

At this point in this sub every 2 out of 3 posts are about i got placed with no description of the process what ques were asked. It almost looks like these OP wanna get questioned desperately. I understand it is a achievement and a privilege to post such a post.

But pls at this point Btechtards is more helpful than this sub. With no knowledge being shared thats actually useful other than telling their compensation.

If u wanna keep your post clean then at least write a comment giving description of everything without us having to ask each and every detail.

Its a privilege to be in such a position and pls help your brothers.

(I know a similar post was posted few months ago but looks like no one cares)

Request to everyone here

I have been in this sub for some time but in recent time this sub has become Indian_flex or something like that people just come here to post about them getting placed and most of the post didn't even mention the process of interview the name of the company or anything that can be useful then people have to beg to give out the details. I don't have any problem with this kind of post but I don't think that should be the standard for this sub I think more posts should be about how to prep for placement and if someone is getting placed they should mention their experience and preparation in detail which makes sense. And also moderator should do something about it Let me know what you guys think.

Will I get flagged?

Gave ZS Associates OA Round 2 on Mettl, and I had a Chrome dark mode extension enabled, so my test screen was black instead of white. Screen recording was also on.(I guess)

Can I get flagged for this? Can anyone share what you think?
