Like, why on earth do some cardboards have such disturbing audio and most of them end with static? It doesn't make the slightest sense that the cardboards were always like that, that would scare the kids.

Either the cardboards aren't canon and are just environmental elements (which I don't buy), or Playtime for some reason liked to traumatize the kids with them, or they were altered after the Hour of Joy (most likely either by the Prototype or by Sawyer).

If I had to choose, I think the most likely thing is that they were altered after the Hour of Joy. Proof of this is the Smiling Critters cardboards which most likely report what happened to their Bigger Body version (which consequently reports events from after the Hour of Joy). But so far nothing has been confirmed as to why the cardboards are like this.

Like, how does she know all of this? Could she be keeping up with the factory newspapers like the one Giblet had? But it doesn't make sense for her to have access to those newspapers. Why would the Prototype keep her informed about things happening?

I think the most plausible option is that she heard the news from other toys that passed through Sweet Street or that she kidnapped.

So, if the Prototype really is this misunderstood hero who wants to do the right thing, then why on earth did the characters above (who used to be his allies) turn against him and completely hate him!? Could it be because the Prototype is a terrible, tyrannical, and evil individual? Just maybe, who knows right?

Don't get me wrong I love the plushie and have already ordered it but is that all this build up has been for? Just a plush and a skin in EFP? I though with the tail in the Bron plushie image, the icons on the store, him in the EFP beta test trailer and more would be for a new bigger body antagonist or at least something big. Like I said this is still cool and maybe there will be more with this character but if this is just it that will be very unfortunate.

This concept art was released way before chapter 5,literally just between chapter 2 and 3.

I somehow also didn't give any suspiscion,I did think he migh have been a ringmaster after chapter 4 but other than that,I draw blank.

Mob teased poppy’s cardboard cutout in the first chapter 5 teaser trailer and in the Yule log, seemingly with the intention to have it in the game, but we never saw it. I heard that mob scrapped it.

I just believed that it didn’t fit well with chapter 5’s plot, so they scrapped it, want to see if anyone knows anything else.

I dont like to keep them in the boxes since it makes me feel like they want freedom.

I believe "the Voice" has the power to affect electromagnetic waves. For those who don’t know, electromagnetic waves are forms of energy that travel through space. They are everywhere; even though you can’t see most of them, they make our world function. For instance, visible light is an electromagnetic wave, as are radio waves—which are necessary for things like TV, Wi-Fi, and radios. However, electromagnetic waves can also damage or interfere with electronic devices, such as cameras. It appears that "the Voice" possesses this capability; we see it manage to infiltrate Miss Delight’s speaker system. In a video released by Mob, a radio is shown—clearly a reference to "the Voice," as there are no other characters who communicate via radio (and it’s also part of the EFP ARG). Furthermore, as the radio attempts to "say" something, that action affects the light of a nearby lamp. In the CatNap video, we see CatNap attack the camera, which could imply that "the Voice" is present within the camera—especially since CatNap appears to be an enemy of "the Voice"—and the camera’s feed begins to glitch. In messages from Mob, "the Voice" asks, "Can you feel that? The static is changing." While this could simply mean that it is communicating through the radio without interference, the specific phrasing "can you feel that?" raises some questions for me. What do you all think?

Howdy, I’m back with the swap AU! :D God it was so long but I finally got the designs together. And today’s swaps are, like you may already have assumed, Huggy and.. Giblet?
That sounds a bit oit of the blue but I tried to come up with something original. One’s entirely reduced to an animal, another is somewhat sane, opposite sides blah blah blah. Aaand just like last time random bullshit (lore) go:

Starting off with Patchy. I’m feeling more whimsical today so it won’t look like a wikipedia page (cough cough my last post on this AU) for once.
And yeah, his name… is pretty obvious. He is a rejected, unnamed toy experiment and an outsider, almost like our Giblet. Parts of his fur is burnt beyond rapairment, and he has a grabpack hand as a prostesic. It’s not comfortable, but good as a climbing rope, I can tell you that. Most of the time, that hand is just pulled along while Patchy’s walking, and it’s weight would make him constantly fall over. The little smile is actually just a decoration, Patchy’s real mouth is that shit-eating grin to the right (viewer’s left) lol.
There isn’t much to say about that guy. He’s just there. Vibing. He likes joking around which comes off as weird or rude and often makes the situation worse just by being there. Also can be a real bastard and an annoying little prick (said with love), but he means well. Probably. TRUST. Not even a train driving right into him on full speeds will stop him from a smartass remark sadly. This has been checked already btw, ain’t helping.
That’s it for him.

Lastly, Snatcher. He is the result of scienists at Playtime Co. going ‘well damn our budget is shrinking’ and just starting to test out literally anyrything on one specimen, aka whatever this is. Snatcher is blind and has the mental capacity of a potato with a brain capable of two thoughts: ‘kill prey’ and ‘eat food’. Choose your poison. Snatcher is very easy to provoke and perfect to exploit when he’s attacking, wrecking everything like a bull. His claws are almost impossible to spot inside the fur, but sharp enough to leave marks on concrete floor.
Actually he’s in a pretty sorry state. Snatcher technically belongs to the Chosen One’s side, but is mistrusted by nearly everyone. Also if we remember he used to be a child driven crazy by brainwashing, this gets depressing.
Snatcher makes loud, high-pitched howling and whimpering noises to orient via echolocation. Or maybe he’s calling someone? You’ll never know.

Bulletin Board ARG Summary Document

I wrote a beta version of this theory on Tumblr. I’m more active over there so message me there rather than here if you want to.

TLDR: The Voice is one of 1006’s early experiments that he is using to recruit us, the newcomers, to build A Better Place since tensions in the factory are too high and uneasy.

Day two of the ARG revealed that EFP takes place in 1997, two years after The Hour. This is also the same year as Poppy’s Rebellion according to Amberluvbugs, an official artist of the franchise. Since DogDay and Bobby Bearhug are around in Playcare with CatNap and Miss Delight (aka ‘Crazy’) — seemingly ok with each other — this must take place before the war.

Miss Delight’s sister, Dancer, revealed that she and a group of other smaller toys (who are presumably us) were taken away some time before The Hour and have recently returned after two years. We are the stragglers roaming around Playcare, scavenging for food. Since we are outsiders, we are not part of any of the existing factions. Before I was confused as to why we were being attacked in the game if we’re working with The Prototype, but now it makes more sense. We’re strangers with no open affiliation to anyone except the mysterious Voice who has been terrorizing the toys recently. As far as the others know, we are disruptive cult members stealing valuable resources.

I call us a cult because there’s a lot of religiosity surrounding The Voice (and The Prototype, but more on that later). The boombox is placed upon a shrine of some kind. The Voice calls us “blessed” to have been chosen by them to participate in “the great work.” As new toys with no affiliation and no guidance, The Voice gives us a purpose. We are the small, but significant hands that will build a home for ourselves in the factory. This parallels how The Prototype offers the toys freedom and humanity if they fall in behind him. They parallel because they are directly connected.

We know we are building A Better Place, The Prototype’s kingdom* so The Voice and, tangentially us, are working for him. If we and The Voice are his allies, why doesn’t The Prototype inform his other allies like CatNap of our mission? Why is he using us specifically and not the toys already there?
My guess comes in two parts:

1. The Prototype at this time does not have an ironclad grip on the toys yet. It’s only been two years. The orphans are still there, food is a constant worry, and the toys are not unified under him. Plus, I imagine The Prototype is unpopular. His reputation as a violent unhinged mastermind precedes him. Oliver is said to be charismatic and loved by those who are loyal to him, but he’s also extremely controlling, cruel, and manipulative. Plus I imagine him calling himself God and forcing the toys to stay and eat human meat sullied his reputation even further. He doesn’t have his cult yet. No one likes him. So, to circumvent changing his ways, he decides to manipulate these new guys into doing his bidding through a third party, The Voice. Once his home is built and his propaganda spreads, the others will fall in line.
2. The Prototype has already begun experimenting on the children. The war started because Poppy found out what he was doing. I assumed before that he hadn’t started until after she was placed away, but now I think he started immediately after The Hour. He had to be doing something during those two years so this is what I think he was doing in secret down in the labs. Under the cover of darkness, he can snatch a kid and bring them down to the labs, just like how the scientists did before (cycle of abuse and all that). This could also be why he’s deciding to keep his plans under wraps from his current allies and is deciding to use the newcomers instead. If he were to have the current toys build down in the labs, they will discover his experiments (and eventually they did and Poppy used this to rise against him). We the newcomers, on the other hand, have no affiliation to anyone besides The Voice and though I feel, being fellow toys, we would find the experimentation objectionable, after being throughly brainwashed into doing the great work our divine guide demands us to do, we will not bat an eye to whatever the Supreme Leader is doing. We are Proto’s cult.

Okay now onto the title of the post: The Voice is one of his experiments who he is using as a mouthpiece to recruit and brainwash us. We know from Experiment Notes that it did not take him long to get a hang of the procedure. Gabi, what seems to be his first successful walking and talking toy, was Experiment #28! It took Elliot 1005 tries before success. It took Sawyer and his crew 153 tries to get to Boxy. It took Oliver 27 tries. Brilliant boy.

The Voice could be one of his early successes. That explains why no one recognizes their… well, voice. That also explains their religiosity. If they are The Prototype’s creation, he 100% would enforce his god-hood onto them. Hell, in Experiment Notes, he names Gabi like God with Adam.

“Experiment 28
Medium bonding. Negation Formula controlling the growth.
Her stitching holds. Eyes flicker with life. Fingers sliding on the table-feeling the cold metal.
Who am I? she asks. Who are you?
A giver. I tell her. A friend.
And you are Gabi.
She repeats the name and closes her eyes.”

As soon as they wake, he calls himself their friend and giver. He gave them life and he will give them food, a home, and a purpose. He is their God! He is quite literally creating his cult members.

By experiment 34, he has more toys walking around.

“They live. They breathe. They walk and talk”

The Voice is one of these “they.” The Prototype tells them his grand plan and The Voice repeats it to us, spreading his ideals.

“The great work continues with new hands!”

He had already started building with his creations. Now he’s adding new bodies to the effort. And again, he’s doing all this behind the other’s backs because he knows they, especially Poppy, would object to what he’s doing to the children. The great work must continue! He must achieve infinity and build his home no matter what! His sister be damned!

It says: “In groups of 1-4 players, each run sends teams into a dynamically changing section of the facility with one clear objective: search for, locate, and transport the resources and building materials demanded by a mysterious Voice. Those materials are needed to help construct A Better Place, a promised home for toys who prove their loyalty and usefulness.”

And honestly, even if we didn’t get direct confirmation like this, what else could we be building?

I personally really love boxy boo's original design but when considering that the toy version this guy was made in 1966, I decided to make a redesign of him for fun that actually fit that time period, so I used reference from the recalled 1971 toy called the "Water Wiggle" from Wham-O and some UPA animations from the 50's . I also thought that orange would look better on him, despite him originally being red.

I also think that he would've looked less scary and more cute and silly, I might replace the tounge with a single square tooth just like the water wiggle to make it more goofy looking but I don't know. But anyways that's just my personal take on him.
