Missing True Connections

It’s one of those days when I am just feeling extremely lonely. I have had lot of grief in my life especially with loosing people both to death and painful heartbreaks.

I have done a lot of work to heal and am generally ok, just missing the deep and true connections which are so hard to make.

Anyone else feel that it’s getting harder and harder to make real and deep connections both romantic and non romantic?

I feel that way. I'm currently struggling with connection in my relationship. It is such a lonely experience.

It is, isn’t it. The sad part is that it really doesn’t have to be this way.

Definitely. We're just too much in our own bubbles that making those deep connections is harder to do.

I am starting to feel that at a global scale honestly. Everyone seems to be on their own bubbles and deep connections are slowly becoming extinct. Maybe future generation will only read about it in books as a thing of the past.

That's a good point, and that's really scary to think about. We look at kids who don't really know how to even socialize and it's a sad sign of the times; constant screens are one reason, but Covid also really did a number on their social development, sadly.

Very true for both of those reasons to be contributing factors. I am also hearing kids born during covid are having trouble socializing even.

The other thing I have noticed is that sometimes you do find what feels like true connections and it feels so good, but most people are not able to sustain it for long sadly.

Yeah, isn't it unfortunate how badly Covid screwed things up for so many? I feel bad for those young kids.

Yes, I think it's a pretty common thing to have a promising start with someone and then it fizzles out after a bit. Being ghosted is the crappy part. I'm glad to have chatted with you though :).
