people don't understand how much music impacts our moods

I used to listen to juice wrld, lil peep, etc mostly emo rap. they are all real people with good souls.

when i stopped listening to them and started listening to upbeat music, my chronic depression step by step stopped and it was a major factor.

this summer, i past the summer with alot of happiness, inner peace, joy.

winter arrives and i feel like listening some of their songs again for gym. mood crashes the entire week. negativity breaks through. things go worse generally as if it was a domino effect.

you can love these artists. but please understand that you have to surround yourself by good energy to enjoy life more. it might feel good and relaxing in the moment but it's just dopamine release which might make it tempting.

seek joy. seek peace. seek happiness. seek love. surround yourself by good happy people. take care of yourself do small positive things, do things that are healthy and that feel good in a positive way.

you are powerful. you should feel empowered that you rule your feelings. you decide if you will be happy or not today.

What's a small thing that instantly makes your day better?

I've been thinking about how some of the smallest things can make an otherwise ordinary day feel so much better. It could be finding money in an old jacket, getting an unexpected day off, having a really good meal, or finally finishing something you've been putting off for weeks.

For me, there's something satisfying about those little moments when life feels a bit easier than expected.

What's one small thing that can instantly improve your mood, no matter how your day has been going?

Grateful for weekends because that’s when you rest and layback, meditate and plan for the new week ahead. It’s a privilege to pull the break and slow down to rest and continue again

It's worth it

The hard times you are going through? Believe me stay alive and you'll see it was all worth it.

I have been struggling with depression and anxiety since mid school and survived a lot of crap, I don't know how good my life would be if I HADN'T went through all this hardships. I'm feeling like I'm surfing rather rn than drowning like when i was a kid..

But yeah, of course life inevitably punches you and takes you down, but I grew to like those punches and use them as motivators to get up and build an even more worthful life.

F#cking own your life ✊ you can do it

I’m going to do it.

I’m going to turn my life over. I have been so down for the past year, and i recently got this unexpected and persistent sense of will to live. I want to live, not survive. I want to improve my physical health, i want to get my life back on track and i will.

My life doesn’t have to suck

Edit: thanks for the support everyone! I wish you all the best.
I had this realisation about 6 days ago, so it definitely isn’t a long time, i still expect this initial feeling to tone down a little (which is okay and natural)

My main focus is keeping and executing my own promises to myself, some days have bigger promises that cause a little friction inside (such as starting to run, doing school work, meeting up with friends) other days have smaller commitments.
I wrote down all my goals/ activities/ responsibilities and choose a couple things each week to commit to. Even if i fail, it doesn’t matter as long as i show up.

i really really really need to brainwash myself into believing humanity isnt the world ending , cruelty thriving creatures that crawled out of hell , i wanna become positivity made flesh , but truly believing in good is what a madman would do , truly believing that its all gonna be okay is what someone who doesnt think straight would say, thats what i wanna become , i wanna brainwash myself into not being depressed anymore

I found a gratitude meditation that works for me

I always found listing things to be grateful for difficult, energetically sifting through my brain felt like a chore and I didn’t ’feel’ grateful it was a mental exercise.
I recently heard about using thank you as a mantra, I tried it while I was driving, just repeating thank you, thank you, thank you and returning to it whenever my mind wandered- after a couple of minutes my brain just started throwing things up to me that I was grateful for. I FELT grateful, it genuinely made me smile observing my brain running on autopilot and digging up these wonderful things that made me feel happy.
Highly recommend.

A little reminder for you today

You don't have to rush through life.

Take your time, enjoy the small moments, and appreciate how far you've come. Not every day has to be productive to be meaningful. Sometimes, simply resting and finding peace is enough. 🤍

What's one small thing that makes your day better?

Missing True Connections

It’s one of those days when I am just feeling extremely lonely. I have had lot of grief in my life especially with loosing people both to death and painful heartbreaks.

I have done a lot of work to heal and am generally ok, just missing the deep and true connections which are so hard to make.

Anyone else feel that it’s getting harder and harder to make real and deep connections both romantic and non romantic?
