Exactly. An assistant manager at Waffle House is a veteran general of war, peace and all things in-between. A Waffle House employee, in my mind, is a very capable person deserving respect - because he or she is clever and capable of doing much with little. At all times.
This is someone who unfortunately has silver spoon disease - right idea, off-the-mark execution like when Kelly Osbourne said something along the lines of, "Who is going to clean your toilet if you deport everyone, Mr. Trump?" 🤦
This is exactly why I'm glad I came from little and now have much. Had I been born into insulated self-serving wealth or never traveled or walked beside my fellow man, squatting in the dusty road with him and sharing bread....I'd probably say things like this. (Still, I hope I wouldn't because I love humanity too much.)
LOVE his overall message, though.
But don't try to rise while pushing down others. No need to insult innocent people we love because you're so rich now. Standards are standards so you're in line for a lesson, too. But thanks for being on the right side of at least one red line.
The WH is a crucible that makes no-crap-taking warriors. Back in the 90s, I’d tip $20 on a single meal. They have project organization skills that are unrivaled. The systems at work in those small kitchens were always fascinating.

Waffle House catching strays. I have mad respect for WH employees - they work super hard and do a great job of getting shit done.
