No... No this is the opposite of what happens in reality. 

Your example of Reddit is hilarious. The entire internet was a men's space invaded by women, who then pushed men to marginal communities like Reddit. 

Reddit, a men's space, was then invaded by women, who pushed men to increasingly niche subreddits. 

Those subreddits are constantly brigaded and banned for being men's spaces because women hate the concept of men's spaces even existing.
