I can’t afford an out of state move, they expect me to be able to afford to immigrate?!

see thats whats so insane about this quote

the amount of people who can't even afford to move from one part of a state to another part of the same State somehow are magically expected to be able to afford to move to an entirely new country .................

that’s the thing they don’t care that you can’t afford it bc they’d really rather poor people just not exist

The insane thing about this quote is it's not real and you guys are embarrassing for believing it.

Whether the quote is real or not is irrelevant when ā€œif you don’t like it leaveā€ is a common right-wing argument.

So that makes it okay to mislead and lie about quotes?

1

u/WyattHMB 11h ago

No, it not ok to mislead. Though, Ben Shapiro is a POS who it’s realistic to believe would have this thought process even is he is not stupid enough to say it out loud. Also, the discussion the quote generated is absolutely relevant given the current economy and political climate.

So you're saying it's okay to mislead because you think he would say it, and because you don't like him. Weird

Are you illiterate. The first sentence of my last comment says, and I quote, ā€œit is not ok to mislead.ā€

"though" it's not okay BUT...

ITS NOT OKAY... BUT BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE SHAPIRO AND BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMY AND POLITICAL CLIMATE I ACCEPT IT..

Which can easily be interpreted as me saying, I don’t feel the same sympathy for the man, that you weirdly seem too, about him being misrepresented. Especially since the quote is on brand for him. That doesn’t speak to how I feel about other people being misled or the resulting discussion. Again, your reading comprehension is not stellar, my dude, and hitting the all caps button doesn’t help you win your argument.

It blows my mind that there wasn't a mass exodus of Republicans when Obama or Biden was in office. They didn't like it when they were president, so why didn't they leave? They keep talking the talk, but not walking the walk. If your car has a flat tire, you don't just go out and buy a new car, you fix the one you have.

That’s the neat part, they’ll pay for the plane ticket to dump you wherever. They don’t care about you taking anything with you or if you survive once you land.

That seems like catastrophizing. I’ll admit things are bleak and maybe there’ll be cause for concern in the future but, there is nothing to suggest that something of the scale you are suggesting is on the horizon.

I didn’t say it was likely, only that their version of emigration is to dump people they want out somewhere else with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Except they have been doing that to US citizens before a trial already.

Several full US citizens that were here since birth just because they look not white and 'mexican'. The one guy I am not sure if he made it back or not.

Not to mention the fact that nobody wants you - where would you move to?
