The freedom to hold whatever faith a person wants is the most basic American value there is.

Absolutely nothing is more fundamental, equal only with freedom of speech and the press.

It's literally the very first law we made together as a country. It's the reason many ofnou ancestors got on boats to come here ... Muslims included.

What is incongruous is the presumption that only one religion is the right religion, and the near-constant attempts to impose of that religion on everyone else.
