I wish the “not all men” crowd could self-police as effectively as the No Kings protestors. I remember seeing a few videos where the protestors were peacefully doing their thing until one dude tried to incite violence or vandalism, at which point the rest of the protestors turned on that dude, called him out, kicked him out of the group and turned him over to police.

The best way to prove that “I’m not like that” and keep your own identity distinct from the bad actors you want to avoid being associated with is to shut that kind of shit down immediately upon recognition.

How exactly are men supposed to "self-police", most rape or DV cases aren't public.

When friends make jokes about women and domination over women similar to that snapchat free pussy text, try to discourage them from doing that

I'm not in a frat house. Even beyond that, it was a group text sent out in the middle of the night, I dount many people even saw it.

What does making these types of jokes have to do with policing rape or DV cases? Either you're implying that men who make these kinds of jokes are working their way to rape or DV, or they're clear signals that they're already rapists and abusers, or you're just moving the goal posts to an entirely different set of behavior.

Most guys i know would not find those kinds of texts funny, and would try to discourage them from doing it.

I really do think it's a relatively small percent of men doing this kind of thing.
