Artwork From A Tutorial Adding my own twist

Post image

Another James Julier tutorial. It felt too flat to end with, so I kept adding more layers of mountains, trees, fog and birds. Now it feels a lot more alive, I’m happy. ^^ I’m starting to feel more confident in making it my own. Even if subtle. :-)

Reply to this message or make a new comment about what tutorial you used and who the tutorial is from, linking to it for others to see. This so people get the credit they deserve :)

It would also be cool if you mentioned what you thought about the tutorial and what else you want to do with Procreate!

Beautiful! These tutorials have been indispensable for me, they are the perfect way to learn how to use Procreate.

I'm not new in procreate, but still learning a lot! Mostly how he uses light intrigued me to follow his tutorials. Happy I found him being named here. 🤗

You mentioned that you are intrigued by the use of light. Do you like urban landscapes? Tatyworks on YouTube has some really good video tutorials also, she recently did a city-view painting that had a lot to do with the lighting. Happy painting!🤙🏽

Also, do you have any recommendations for a Dreams tutorial?

I don't use Dreams so can't help you there. I did see it being used in a different post though. Maybe ask there?

Thank you! I'm also going to do a couple more before completely letting go of the tutorials. And when I succeed in that, to paint them on canvas will be the next step. 🙏🤗

We learn by doing! If it gives joy there is nothing to stop you getting better drawing by drawing. 🤗 Quite sure this is a different tutorial btw. He has two mountain cabin ones. 😉
