Full Pan Empties so far!

I’ve been tracking religiously since my first post and have made some progress! I’ve been tackling samples and minis for some easy wins. The blush sample card was particularly satisfying since in a way, I panned five blushes, lol. Most of these I wouldn’t repurchase, some because the brand isn’t cruelty free (in the case of Laneige, Laura Mercier and Benefit 😢) and some because they just didn’t really work for me or I have others I prefer, but some are new faves:

💖 Lisa Eldridge Eyeliner – this one was my companion through the awful humid heatwaves we had here. Lasted SO well and I love how thin the tip is. Holy Grail, have already repurchased.

💖 Gisou hair mask – this was a treat purchase and I got more uses out of it than expected (4 generous applications from the mini pot). I have thick 2b hair and this leaves it softer and less frizzy, and the smell is AMAZING. Love and have already repurchased, but I have a Tresemme hair mask to get through first.

Of the others I also really like the Byoma moisturiser and the OUAI shower gel, and will likely repurchase those when I get through others in the same category.

I recycle as soon as I’m done with a product so apologies for the slightly janky collage! I’m finding it so satisfying to make progress, and really really appreciate this community 💕 My goals atm are to finish a couple of lip balms, a mini body mist and a blush next!

This eyeshadow (Canmake Perfect Multi Eyes 02) was bought in China, many years ago. It has been with me all these years and it was absolutely perfect for a simple, everyday glittery look. Sad to see it finished, but also glad to be able to continue with a new palette.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Thoughts on expiration dates for skincare 😭 ?

Post image

2 days ago, I managed to pan this mask from the ordinary. I've had it for longer than I could remember.

Its shelf life is 3 years unopened and 12M after opening. I am pretty sure this is AT LEAST 3 years old, open for more than a year.

I've been focusing on it lately within project PAN, and by that I mean using it weekly after my everything shower. This last week, I managed to squeeze in another use during the week to pan it faster. I've come to notice that I developed 3 sore acne bumps in the same time span... Now, I'm highly suspecting this as the culprit since it's ancient and harsh as a product.. and that led to come here to ask you guys : is skincare expired when it's finished? Or when you really reach the expiration date on the bottle?

Your responses will determine whether I will continue panning multiple face creams and serums or I will bin them all (10-ish products).

On a mission to use up all my lip products before they go bad! This one is about a year old. I am sure others would say i can use the reat, but i use these on the go and am okay with accepting this amount of wasted product.

Full Pan Mini Empties JBeauty + Dermalogica!

Just joined project pan but this has been a work in progress for 1-2 years?!

I have so many mini travel sized products that come as gift with purchases

I left these at my parents house (they live in another state) so I dont have to keep bringing skincare back and forth and I FINALLY finished them! 😄

Skintype: dry, 29 years old, using tret for antiaging once a week (just started!)

Climate: mediterranean

Main concern: dehydration, closed comedones/texture on forehead, sebaceous filaments on nose

Products used:

Free Deluxe Sample Cle De Peau Beaute Softening Cleansing Foam 20ml (idk the nordstrom lady just gave it to me to try for free LOL i didnt even buy anything I love her)

Smells nice, very slight baby powdery fragrance

Texture is cream to foam, Lathers INCREDIBLY, so luxurious, only need like half a pea-sized amount because it foams up so well. Lasted so long because of that.

Takes off makeup well. Leaves my face feeling very clean but soft at the same time. (It feels like the clean feeling of Senka Perfect Whip without the overly stripped dryness after). 10/10

Sometimes I get closed comedones on my forehead and while using this I was barely getting any. My skin was so smooth. My nose pores also looked very clear

I also ended up buying the full sized version because they were selling it at costco AND it was on sale for $35. It lasted me like 1 1/2 years?? I miss it but I havent repurchased because the full price is too much for me right now. Its so worth it on sale because it lasted wayyyyy longer than my other cleansers.

GWP Deluxe Sample Shiseido Clarifying Cleansing Foam 15ml

Texture is cream to foam, lathers well into bubbles but not as creamy or as well as the CDP cleanser.

Smells strong like baby powder

Takes makeup off well but leaves my face feeling a bit dry

I used it up because it was GWP and free but probably wouldnt repurchase the full size

GWP Shiseido Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate 5 ml

Nice, serum like consistency

cant smell much of a scent

kept my under eyes looking smooth, esp under makeup. absorbs well, plumps under eyes

noticed a difference for sure when using this
would i repurchase full size? probably not? its so expensive and i dont feel like i currently need extra love under my eyes. BUT if I saw it on sale I might buy it?

I did find myself “saving” it for under makeup

GWP Dermalogica Milkfoliant

Its powder to grainy liquid formula? It activates with water and is gentle and exfoliating.

I personally didnt like how it felt on my face. It was a bit grainy. And other times I accidentally added too much water and it felt too watery.

Wasnt the best exfoliator I tried either. It was amazing to remove the dead peeling skin from tret without any irritation tho which is impressive

Probably wouldnt repurchase but would be happy to receive a sample again.

My last lipstick just ran out, and here comes a new chapter! This lipstick was a gift from a friend, but it’s been sitting on my vanity for far too long. Time to finally give it some love haha

Ps. I'm in love with this colour.

Elf camo liquid bronzer in fair. It performed sooo well and the shade/undertone was perfect and super natural looking - a bit on the rosier side which works well for fair skin. Def got every last drop out though!

Pan Progress New to Project Pan and wondering if this is typical of blush use?

I recently started trying to focus on using up my existing makeup and skincare products. I bought a new powder blush back in mid-February and it is the ONLY powder blush I use. I consider myself a heavy makeup person and wear it daily, and yet this is the state of the powder blush almost 8 months later. Is this normal? I guess it's a pigmented product and I don't need to use a ton each day, but it makes me wonder how I will ever use it all up. Are blushes typically this long lasting? I don't seem to have the same issue with powder eyeshadows and bronzers. I never realized how difficult panning certain products might be, especially for people that have multiple of the same type of product. I guess I should be thankful for the great value of this blush?!

finished my second Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer! I thought this would be my holy grail for a while, but I think I want to try something different after I’ve panned everything in this category.

I do have two other facial moisturizers (Nivea Soft Cream in the travel size tub and Good Molecules Lightweight Daily Moisturizer) but probably won’t repurchase either of those when I’m done with them. Soon enough I’ll be on the hunt for a new moisturizer!

Failed Pan Too Dry and flaky now

My prefered mascaras are tubing ones since i have hooded lids and oily skin. I've had this e.l.f one for over a year and has been my go to, it still has product in it but the last times i've used it it would flake onto my undereye so.. it has to go. With the whole debacle the brand had idk if id repurchase even if i do like it. I have to add the packaging sucks, the stopper kept coming off and getting stuck to the cap. And in some of these occasions i could see a big glop of dried product inside lol, if you use tubing mascaras, you now the texture i mean by glop. I have now left: this same one in brown, essence lash witouht limits tubing in brown, sky high in burgundy, and benefit bounce mascara mini in black. Happy panning!

i bought this palette two years ago and the bronzer is already seeing itself out. the finishing powder is already getting to that point. i kinda retired blush from my routine so i’ll try to figure out what to do with the blushes. it doesn’t help that i kind of hate these shades. but whatever a win is a win. happy panning.

Pan Progress August - October pans

Herbal Essence Rose Hips Conditioner - Love the smell, works fine but nothing special.

BBW Rose lotion - I always have one of these, one of my favorite scents.

BBW Brightest Bloom Cream - I had this for a few years and it started to have an off consistency, it still smelled fine. I enjoyed layering this with lots of scents. This reminded me I need to limit the number of creams I have before they go bad (the BBW lotions don't seem to go bad so these are safer to have a larger amount).

BBW Calming Skies lotion - I used this lavender peppermint lotion for my hands before bed. I had already used a candle in this scent, and am currently using the pillow mist. This is from a few years ago and I would love if it returned! This bottle was so so pretty, but it was tough to get the bottom out.

BBW Gingham Moisturizing Body Wash - One of my favorite scents, I like this formula too.

O'Keefe's Lip Repair - My favorite lip balm, I also lost another one that was almost out. Already got more.

i still can’t believe this is my collection.

but yes, i started project pan and i’ll be updating with hopefully a decrease in whatever i’ve got going on. lucky for me some of my stuff has already hit pan and will be out of the way if i use them strategically.

the powders will definitely take a while to see a noticeable difference but the lip products will probably be the easiest to tackle. and i’m pretty sure this isn’t my entire collection since i carry other products in my purses (which is another collection of its own). either way, anything else that gets found will be featured in my updates.

After I decided I was gonna get my juicy bombs panned before the end of the year, I started with the birthday bomb. It was my most used one anyways, so I thought I’d continue using it.

I’ve made considerable progress but I know it’s gonna take me a while. I might post weekly updates here to keep me going, idk. Honestly, I’m just happy that I’m even wearing the gloss lol. I do like the slight pink shimmer, it’s very nice. Just not a fan of the formula!

Pan Progress Chipping away at Birthday Girl

Birthday Girl - Essie.

I got this nail polish before COVID. I come back to it when my nails need a break from acrylic or gel manicures. I love the sparkle since it makes it low maintenance. I'm pretty sure it was slightly more pink when I first bought it. I'm halfway and planning on solely using it all up this time without breaks. Hoping to rebuy once it's all gone to get that pink shine again.

Most proud of:

Briogeo superfoods shampoo. Took me probably over 2, maybe even 3 years... This shampoo I bought when I was just getting into cgm, but wasn't aware yet thay wavy girl products existed. The conditioner of this line works well though for my hair somehow, but the shampoo is way too nourishing. Smell is lovely btw, if you like bananas.

Other products are mainly HGs and in my standard rotation, except the Guarlain sample.

Things I've repurchased and am using again:

- Kerastase genesis shampoo
- Cosrx bha
- Dove deodorant
- Pimple patches
- Blistex
- BOJ sunscreen

I'm still focusing on finishing this hair oil which I am using on my legs and a couple of other hair products that are just not my thing. Also some perfume samples, and trying to use more of all my eye and lip pencils, which is such a slow progress. My bucket with toiletries is slowly but surely getting emptier and closer to just being filled with HGs this year :) .
