Every now and then there'll be a special event or something, so I'll get what I need, and then it goes in the drawer and gets forgotten and goes off, so when the next thing comes up I have to buy more. And because I never use it, I don't even know what I like.
My collection is on a smaller scale than most, but it still feels like overconsumption considering how much I typically use of a product before having to dispose of it. And there's so much random stuff. Can you tell I once had a gift card for 3INA and just said "One of everything, I guess?"
I have two weddings to attend next year and I'm pretty sure everything pictured is expired, but I'm tired of the cycle and the trial and error. So I'm going to make an effort to use everything here at least once, if only to work out what is actually worth replacing.
No illusions here; I don't expect to suddenly become a daily makeup gal so I'm unlikely to actually hit pan. Success here means getting some practice with makeup and curating my collection so it's only products I actually enjoy wearing. Wish me luck :)

Late update as I was busy. Top:July, Middle: August, Bottom: September comparison
No full pan in Sept. What changed:
Fenty Beauty Dragonfly - I used up so much it was not taking the product. I tried to remove the stopper but accidentally pushed it inside lol I would say it's about half empty now (up to y in Fenty)
Fenty Glow - not much progress
Teddy Kiss - not much progress
Major change to Wayne Goss Lotus and Mac Verve. I mixed Lotus with some Verve (that's why it's cut like that) and made a Frankenlipstick as I was layering them anyway. Result is a nice olive friendly autumn colour. I placed it in the now empty Lotus packaging. Lotus is gone as a colour and replaced by this one instead
Pillow Talk - progress, Hope it will be gone by the end oct/next update
LE balm - not much progress I guess I keep it for colder days
LE lipgloss - so the applicator was no longer taking product so I removed the stopper and used spatula to push all product down from the sides. And ended up with half full bottle even though I thought this is nearly empty 😐 got a bit discouraged and concentrated more on pink Fenty one instead in the previous weeks
Lip oil - there is some progress
As mentioned proeviusly I have decluttered the lipliner and panned the lipbalm in Aug.
The longer it takes I realize how much I don't need so many products. I start thinking I might actually enjoy having only 15 lip products max.

I got this palette from a friend for free. Actually all the eyeshadow palettes I own are from friends who didn’t want them and gave them to me for free and now I feel overwhelmed trying to get through but I’m slowly chipping away.
Also does anyone else find that the lids for the Australis palettes ALWAYS break? I’m underconsumption queen though and I’ve sticky taped mine all back on

Decided to finally start using my lipsticks after having it for 2 years just to have it irritate my lips. I loved those colours sm

Using the Hourglass bronzer in Nude Bronze Light and the Haus Labs powder highlighter (that I love to use as a radiant blush) in Rose Quartz. I have a ton of blush and bronzer that I’ve still not used up, so I don’t think I’ll buy these again anytime soon, but I did love them both!

I’ve had this bronzer since 2017 I think and use it pretty much daily. It feels like I’ll never finish it 😅😩

What do you do when you really really really dislike an aspect of a product but are trying to use everything up?

Shade: follow back
I decided to start project pan for this lip oil. I leave it at work and I reapply like 2-3 times during the day.
First photo is Monday and second today (Thursday)
I think I’ll take one every week and then collect all the photos for one post. That way I commit to finishing and coming back to update!

Does anyone else still use eyeshadow that they got when they were like... 11... anyway, I do! This is my "Drama Queen" palette from The Color Workshop that I literally own since 2016. Don't bother me about expiration dates because I don't care. This is my focus palette as it is so old, and I've made quite some progress!
