medications Stopping Zorvye

I had the worse experience with psoriasis during pregnancy and postpartum. Zorvye helped me a ton and now we're planning to conceive againp and derm told me it's not safe for pregnancy and I have to stop the cream. I'm scared to the core that the flares will come back. Any inputs?

general Rinvoq

I was prescribed rinvoq “15 dose” months ago and it was working fine, then all of a sudden it stopped working. I am now on 30 dosage and it hasn’t started clearing back up. It’s actually getting worse still. Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

medications Zoryve foam for scalp- suggestions for application?

Does anyone have any tips for applying zoryve foam to scalp without making hair super greasy? I was prescribed this once a while ago and wasn’t compliant because of this issue. I know it sounds silly, but I don’t need to wash my hair daily, so it just became burdensome. BUT my scalp psoriasis is out of control and I’m losing my mind and my derm wants me to give this another try. If anyone has any success and has suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

medications Repeated issues with diagnosis

I’ve had psoriasis since my teens, initially mostly on my scalp, but it worsened around age 19 and began affecting my groin and anal areas, along with swaths of my stomach and back. I’ve tried several biologics: Taltz cleared most areas but not my genitals, Ilumya worked best overall but didn’t completely resolve the genital symptoms. While on Ilumya it was relatively controlled as long as I put eucrisa on twice a day, but I was still restricted in a lot of what I did (pre planning showers, not being able to sweat freely, occasional discomfort). I decided to try Bimzelx, but after a few months, I started having discomfort even with eucrisa.

After months of trying different things through my Colorectal and my derm, eventually it got so bad I was in the ER from the pain. I tried a new derm (several, actually) and they pinged the issue as being a fungal infection. I took fluconazole and an anti bacterial, which dramatically improved my symptoms. I then got a biopsy, while temporarily being off Bimzelyx (now restarted after a 3 month break) and it came back as showing…eczema? But the doctors still suspect psoriasis (a second opinion biopsy said dermatitis). I’ve been using zoryve and hydrocortisone once a day, and when I went in, hey! Doctor said I look completely clear.

The problem is, I still have a ton of discomfort. She’s referring me now to a GI, a urologist, and a psoriasis specialist she knows.

My main symptoms are persistent raw, itchy, burning/chafing discomfort around the anus, groin creases, and scrotum. The worst location seems to shift: for a while it was mainly around my anus, but recently the scrotal skin and groin creases have been bothering me most. The scrotum can look somewhat red, particularly on the right side, but the redness comes and goes, and the skin can look relatively normal even when it feels uncomfortable. Heat, sweating, walking, and physical activity tend to aggravate things; cooling down and getting dry can help. I’ve also occasionally experienced sudden prickling/electric-jolt sensations around the groin, thigh creases, and perineal/anal area. My dermatologist recently said the skin looked completely clear and didn’t show steroid-induced thinning, but I’m still experiencing significant discomfort. I’ve wondered about residual skin sensitivity, nerve issues, ongoing dermatitis or fungal infection, or something internal.

Tl; DR. My skin is clear, but I still have symptoms. Biologic said eczema but derm thinks psoriasis. My skin is mostly clear but I still have symptoms. Going to a GI and urologist now, but this stuff is very confusing.

newly diagnosed New to guttate psoriasis

I had my first ever flare up a month ago, at first it was just red spots over my body and just kept spreading everywhere, no itch at first, then the plaque appeared and my god they are painful and itchy, they are constantly shedding, my face is a mess and actually hurts bad with the dry patches and scales, my scalp is also sore with dry patches, I would say at least 90% of my body is covered with no signs of improvement yet, I am after some good body moisturiser and something to wash my skin, hoping this is just a one off thing and will go after a few months.

newly diagnosed I feel so numb.

For context. I recently got diagnosed with what I think is Guttate Psoriasis.my Derm only told me I have psoriasis after a biopsy, but didn’t specify what kind. I did my own research and came to find all the different types, I didn’t even know there were different types! He wanted to put me on Cosentyx right away after seeing my flare. This flare started back on April of 2026, I think what triggered it was my constant stress and drinking… like heavy drinking. Idk my family Hx, so not sure if it runs in the family. It started as one dime size scale patch in my mid (L) ABD, then progressed to my legs and all throughout my back, my scalp for sure is horrible. Doing research on Cosentyx, I learned it’s a biologic, suppresses your immune system, that made me skeptical since I work in the medical field, around sick people all the time. I went to my PCP and she recommended Otezla. Honestly it worked wonders, like no more flares on my skin besides a few patches on my elbow and knees, my scalp cleared for a bit but recently started to flare with the dry weather. I love Otezla honestly! But the side effects are horrible; constant mood swings is a major one, I have CPTSD, depression and anxiety which I’m medicated for, but being on otezla makes me literally wanna die and have some majors depressive episodes. Along with nausea and loss of appetite, I’ve lost 20 pounds since I’ve been on it. I’ve been on it for three months, in the beginning the side effects were horrible, but after a month they subsided. I recently went through a job / insurance change and was out of it for two weeks, started back up a week ago, and man and I feeling these depressive, nausea, loss of appetite side effects. I know everyone is different, but any recommendations on psoriasis meds? Like idk what to do, this is a horrible diseases that took my confidence and I just wanna feel like myself again. ATM I’m going through a depressive episode and now numb, like idc about anything ordeal.

mental health Being mentally exhausted & psoriasis

(Feel free to tell me if you relate or don't relate to what I'm feeling, and why)
I don't even know how to explain what I've been feeling lately. I think I'm just tired, emotionally more than anything.
Psoriasis has been weighing on me so much recently. It's not just about having patches on my skin or dealing with the physical discomfort. It's the way it makes me feel about myself, the way it affects my thoughts, and how easily something as simple as looking at my skin can ruin my entire mood.
I'm tired of having to think about my skin all the time. I'm tired of worrying about whether it's going to get worse, where the next flare might appear, and how much of my life it's going to affect. I hate how something I have no control over can take up so much space in my mind.
But honestly, the hardest part is what it makes me feel about my future.
Sometimes I think about love and relationships, and I get this horrible feeling in my chest. I wonder if someone could genuinely love me and still accept my psoriasis. (Keep in mind that I live in a society where psoriasis is being looked at in a very negative point of view, and this is scientifically proved unfortunately) I wonder if someone would hesitate to touch me, feel uncomfortable seeing my skin, or look at me differently after finding out I have this condition.
Living in a society where appearance and marriage can carry so much weight makes these thoughts even harder to ignore. I worry that something I never chose and cannot simply get rid of could make it harder for someone to accept me.
And I hate that psoriasis has made me question things that shouldn't even be questions. Whether I'll be desirable. Whether someone will find me beautiful. Whether I'll be able to feel completely comfortable in my own skin around another person without worrying about what they might think.
I know psoriasis isn't contagious. I know it's a medical condition, not something shameful. I know all the logical things I'm supposed to remind myself of. But knowing these things doesn't automatically stop me from feeling insecure or being afraid of how other people might react.
Lately, I've been feeling this emptiness that I can't really explain. It's like I'm grieving something, even though I don't know exactly what. Maybe it's the feeling of not being able to live in my body without constantly thinking about it. Maybe it's the fear of what the future holds. Maybe I'm just exhausted from carrying all these thoughts around.
And sometimes I feel guilty for being this upset about a skin condition. I tell myself that there are worse things people go through, and that I should be grateful for what I have. But I don't think gratitude and sadness are mutually exclusive. I can appreciate my life and still struggle with something that genuinely hurts me.
I don't want psoriasis to define me, but sometimes it feels like it's affecting the way I see myself more than I want to admit. I wish I could just exist without thinking about my skin, without worrying about someone noticing it, and without wondering whether it will affect my chances of being loved.
I don't really know what I need to hear. I guess I just want to talk to people who understand what it's like to deal with the emotional side of this condition, especially the loneliness, the insecurity, and the fear that it might affect your relationships.
I'm tired of constantly thinking about my skin. I'm tired of worrying about whether it's going to get worse, whether new areas will be affected, and how much more of my life this condition will take over. Even when I'm trying to focus on something else, it's always somewhere in the back of my mind. A flare up isn't just a change in your skin. It can affect your entire mood, your confidence, your daily routine, and your ability to feel at peace with yourself.
