Numerology The conundrum when Psychics with precognition can't see advantageous events like lottery numbers?

Having done tons of research into actual investigation and experiments trying to define the experiences of Psi phenomena, the question arises in skeptics over and over. "Why can't you see things that would be helpful to you or others in this arena, like lottery numbers?"

Some of the experiments do show hits on lottery numbers, and up to 2 times hitting correct numbers in the case of the group in Colorado (A Colorado-based remote viewing group led by author Sean McNamara used remote viewing techniques to win the Colorado Pick 3 lottery twice) that showed it is possible. Interestingly, it took a group of 8 to make the 1972 Philip Experiment successful, giving the idea of a coven some weight that is rarely studied or followed up on. Most of the interesting experiments seem to dissolve into some abyss and never get more attention or repeat trials.

Have any of you experienced rewarding results that are personally advantageous for yourself? I have never personally had any 'luck' with this sort of precognition.

They are gifts. Which means they are given. And they are given with limitations. Usually people who have them understand intuitively that they are not for greed. It actually says lot about the nature of super natural phenomena - there is a greater wisdom behind it.

The way I see it, if any of this is true, it’s based solely on belief. You have to believe something to be true completely. Not just say it, not just think it, or feel it.

I’m not Christian, but Jesus said “he with faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains” or something to that effect.

You’ve got to fight past your own fear, shame, guilt, culture, indoctrination, experience, hopes, and wants; and then you can do anything.

Remember that if you want something, it means you don’t have it.

“Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Mathew 17:20

As a tool to warn and save others

Very nice.

Nah. I don’t buy that.

It’s not a gift. It’s a natural function all humans have. It’s as much a gift as seeing or smelling are. No more, no less. Yet everyone makes psychic abilities seem like a divine gift from God.

They are ALL divine gifts from god. Existence is a gift.

Yet god allows us to rape and murder and steal with our hands.

So why not allow us to win the lottery?

It’s because we’re all influencing this dream we call a reality. Everyone trying to win the lottery is influencing the outcome. Millions of us. It’s probably one of the most psychically influenced things in our society. And that creates a lot of psychic noise.

We aren't here to have an easy, struggle free life. We signed up to struggle to learn the lessons we came here to learn. Earth is a place where you come to really compress yourself so you can learn fast. If you're filthy rich, giving to others is less of a burden and therefore easier to do. If you have little, see someone else struggling, digging deep and helping where you can is a way better learning experience.

We are all raised to be tiny little narcissists who think almost our entire society should revolve around money. There is so much more we are abundant in, we just don't value it as much as a people.

1

u/psychophant_ 4d ago

That still doesn’t explain why higher intelligence would allow us to use our divine gift of free will, thought, intelligence and ability and use that to kill, rape and steal.

But then at the same time draw the line at “you can’t use psychic abilities to get more money, money which we deem as useless and unimportant in the grand scheme of the lessons learned in life school”.

Psychic abilities are not something we're awarded by something else. We all have them, the problem is our ego (mostly) and materialistic hold on this world get in the way. If we win the lottery we do so from a desire to enrich ourselves, or ease our burden on some way, but both things are pointing to satisfyong your ego. We all have what we need to have when we need to have it.

We can also be awful to other people in a large variety of ways, also in an attempt to satisfying our egos. We also have free will to not harm people, to help, to donate, to volunteer. People also become wildly successful and do help more because they have the means to. Having money just amplifies who you already are, it doesn't change who you are. The point of being here is to change who you are.

When you hone or train your abilities, one of the things you realize and go through is just how much of what's in your head is you ego. Again, it's not that you are gifted these things it's that you uncover them. The people that I've met that have more abilities see less need to win the lottery or chase money because that's not who they are. That's not who any of us are. Getting to the root of you will show you.

For a select few it IS in their life plan to win the lottery. Your odds of dying go up like 75% or something whacky when you get that much money at once. Now think you have enough money to buy anything you want. All pathways are open to you, what do you do? Most people use it to gratify their own egos.

I am by no means a spiritual teacher, a guide, or enlightened. Just a guy who has read too many books and listened to podcasts and have done a great deal of meditating and self reflection.

Well all that mediums, tarot readers ect. charge A lot of money!

u/Thinkpinkbarbapapa 4d ago

Interesting, I agree with you and was downvoted for this. I don't think physic gifts should be used for greed and I think they go hand in hand with spiritual practice. Some people just see psychic abilities as a tool for whatever (greed, power, influencing others etc) which I regret.

u/catwirk 5d ago

in a word, no. but I chose (or was directed) to use my gifts in another direction. Any time I have tried to use them for a financial advantage they fell flat. Maybe it's because the pursuit of riches has never been a priority for me.

7

u/Over-Tolerance 5d ago

Edgar Cayce had tried to use his gifts to make money, and it mostly fell flat. I am somewhat convinced that there are some rules that we mortals don't understand, or can't get past. That could be a very good thing considering how many people would obviously abuse it and become even more horrible.

When I was a little girl sometimes I would have a dream with a number, and my grandmother was a big lottery person, so the routine was if I dreamed a number, I had to call her and tell her.

Once I gave her a number that had been repeated to me in a dream a few times, and I remember she hit the lottery with that number and won enough cash to redo her kitchen. -But it was pretty hit or miss with the numbers. She won more than once, but never got rich or anything.

I know someone that’s a regular at Lily dale who says he likes to go to the casino and will sit by someone that he thinks would do well to hit on the machines. He never said how he did it, but says he can trigger that persons machines to hit. He never said anything about being able to trigger his own machine to hit, and I don’t know if he can. I assumed he could only make other people’s machines hit, and didn’t ask him.

I’m not going to say his name in the forum, but if you spend any time at Lily dale on the maple wood porch, you’ll probably know who I’m talking about. Considering who it is, I don’t doubt him.

2

u/Over-Tolerance 5d ago

I really appreciate that Lily Dale folks are actually tested and vetted, regularly, and with very high standards. I kind of wish they would do that with all mediums and psychics, and give them a license or certification.

Edgar Cayce was a big influence early when I first began channeling. I read everything by him and about him I could lay my hands on (pre internet days). I'm sure reading about his experiences made it so much easier for me to see the rewards of a life of service far outweighed chasing after dollars. <3

Winning the lottery is not advantageous to everyone and for some it just isn’t in the cards. So what good would it be for psychics in general to have this ability for only such a small amount of people in the world? There can only be so many psychics that can and I bet they aren’t enough of a sample size.

1

u/Over-Tolerance 5d ago

I hear you. Mainly something many skeptics seem to bring up, so that is a good response for them. I usually use the repetitive skills example, where out of 1,000 people who thought they were good enough to be tested for Psi skills in the lab, only 4 of them actually made it past the initial tests. Then those 4 went into the well-known 'decline effect' during further testing. So 0.4% is the 100% we could test from, not the 1,000 that made the claims. Then that declines with intense use and focus to nothing, or until whatever recharges can recharge.

3

u/gypsyfeather 5d ago

Let me stay skeptics. That is the easiest path. They don’t believe in psychic abilities? That’s fine, they don’t have to. It’s a personal experience.

5

u/cosmic_glimpse 5d ago

I don't have luck with this. I am intuitive when it comes to food. I can take you to a good restaurant or buy groceries that I just know will be great for you. No lottery.

I used to have a friend who could see the outcome in a casino between the start and end of a "game". Sorry I don't know much about casinos. Like if the dealer would throw dice, my friend would see if he'll will a second before it shows. He said it was really cool, happened rarely, and never before the throw (go figure.)

3

u/Over-Tolerance 5d ago

I also had a friend that could do the red or black in the deck of cards as you turn them over. It was so far past chance that it was quite amazing. He never cared to have himself tested, and said that it was a useless skill except in the bar betting for free drinks.

The intuition I got as a child was very simplistic. If you keep good in your thoughts for others, good will be attracted to you. If you start wishing for bad, things only start getting worse for yourself.

It could very possibly be just a way of looking at and filtering life experiences through.

When I got older, the warning was that darkness you put out to others, returns to you multiplied. The goodness you put into the world is too, only with a caveat. The good you do others that they never know about, so secret that only you know you got to help! That is the good that heals your old wounds.

So many wounds happen in life that can fade our natural light. Unless we tend to our own light, our thoughts get darker too.

I started out as a version of Pollyanna. Life took me on a journey that had me facing much darker and harder thoughts.

Currently have escaped the very dark and doing better. The light from before I believed "I knew it all" has been rekindled. Trying to guide my actions to match the thoughts where I could find the good.

This has had a tremendous response with the intuition pushes. Doing my best to listen and act. It's not easy breaking the pattern of being so cynical.

When it comes to things like the lottery, that would fall under selfish greed. Dark energy. Jinn energy, where you get what you wish for with a terrible consequence. Greed never pays in the long run. It will cost more than it gives.

Most intuition, for me at least, is protective in nature. Not exploitive.

u/designedtodesign 5d ago

Well as far as I'm aware, If you're manifesting a lottery win- you don't pick the winning numbers. You align your energy to the frequency where your numbers are picked. So that would mean that there are no numbers to predict. I'm sure there are exceptions to this rule and I don't claim to know anything for certain but it would make sense for that reason...

Just because someone is psychic does not mean they're psychic about everything everywhere. That would be an insane life if they could predict everything at all times. My psychic friend got cancer and I think many people questioned why she couldn't predict it or prevent it before it progressed but she believes she got it from stored trauma from many years of dealing with her ex. So, I don't think it fair to claim someone is not psychic if they can't predict things like that (not saying that you were saying that but just making a point).

3

u/Anonymous-Intuitive 5d ago

I have a whole intuitive system for lottery numbers. Anyway, it’s up to chance and nothing is set in stone. That’s the answer.

3

u/Prinnykin 5d ago

I believe time is an illusion and the past, present and future all exist simultaneously.

From that perspective, the future has already happened. I think that’s why I can’t predict lottery numbers, because winning isn’t part of my timeline. I can only see events that are already destined to happen.

3

u/OneTwoSomethingNew 4d ago

The closer you are to an event manifesting, it’s easier to see… but they pull the lotto balls so fast, it manifests before I have time to connect with my sight.

It also helps if there is a weight of emotion I can connect to it, and with the lottery, it’s not tied to a person or “being” or programming,.. it’s just something that happens randomly. It’s easier to predict if someone will win rather than what the numbers themselves are or easier to predict the numbers if it’s already happened - the power of the psychic is anchored in connection to this world and life. Now, if the lottery was intentionally rigged, you’d probably find more physics who can predict the lottery.

3

u/Ladyoftheemeraldlake 4d ago

Look to your astrology chart for a good time to win anything from a lottery.

u/skinnyfaye 1d ago

Honestly I could probably pick ip winning numbers for other people more accurately than for myself

There is a whole book about this by Debra Katz on associative Remote Viewing.

There is power in a 'coven' or group of people. There is certainly something to be said of several puzzle pieces coming together to form a larger network of unified intent.

Kinda like quantum computers using many qubits to quickly light the path of probability to find the right answer. The human brain is like a quantum computer... The larger the group energy, the more likely the outcome be it internal or external expression.

Technically I was just dreaming of collecting 240m and walking into the local lottery office while dodging sketchy characters around me a few nights ago. Was it just a dream... Who knows. However there are many stories of people dreaming the correct numbers and winning... No different than how edgar cayce got his info as 'the sleeping prophet' although he talked in his sleep.

Best hit I've ever come across consistently to get at least 2 numbers (which gets you nothing) is to use a crystal pendulum over an oversized print of the lotto ticket. Go one by one and notice how it spins... Side to side, up down, right circle, left circle... Jot each hit down. Now make a print with yes, no, potential, & unknown. Mark down how the pendulum swings for each and compare to your notes of the numbers.

Have several people all do this independently and compare notes to see what matches. It's basically a form of dowsing using the subconscious.

Experienced all the 'clairs' in my life... They all go quiet when I focus on the lotto... Go fig.

2

u/Valmar33 4d ago

I think it be because so many are focusing on the lottery at the same time that it creates a sort of storm that can prevent any clarity. With so much collective focus, perhaps there is so much collective unconscious attempts to influence the lottery numbers, such as with so many wishing and wanting to be the winners, it creates a million butterfly effects that all interfere with each other. It creates pure chaos.

There is no predicting anything with so many involved in focusing on the same thing at the same time. You would just get noise.

2

u/ObsessedWitAwareness 4d ago

You can only pick up what you're a match to. Rare that anyone let alone a psychic is matched to the kind of effortless abundance of winning lottery numbers.

And most people have almost no perceptual hygiene routines to where they're even aware in the slightest of how they're matching vibrationally with the universe. So most psychics just take in whatever life seems to be handing them and call it something that happens to them.

1

u/Over-Tolerance 4d ago

Perceptual hygiene routines... a very interesting concept with interesting word choices. We are getting closer to the underlying questions in the post, hidden in plain sight.

2

u/Ianthemoon 2d ago

Idk I mean I’ve tried it in harmless ways. I run my hand over the lotto ticket machine and when my fingers start to tingle I stop and choose that scratch off or whatever. I usually win like $2. I look at it as a way of strengthening my intuition not that I’m going to become a millionaire. It’s fun.

3

u/Voxx418 2d ago

The real conundrum is people without spiritual psychic gifts, trying to monetize them for personal gain.

If all of the psychics (myself included,) got the winning numbers, we would all retire and live in luxury. We wouldn’t benefit anyone other than ourselves.

Maybe that will finally end this ridiculous question; However, I predict others will continue to ask it. ~V~

1

u/Over-Tolerance 2d ago

Agree, and when I thought about encouraging a system of vetting and certification, I got a lot of pushback from the gallery full of those personal gain people. Yet these vetting systems do exist, are pretty thorough, and get very little recognition in the Psi world of skilled practitioners. Strange world we live in. The last vetting system I looked into had stopped doing it because they were not getting enough people surviving the vetting process, claiming they must have made it 'too hard'... go figure.

The underlying concept was more important than the question I posed. There appears to be rules or laws with some interesting controls in place regarding the use of these skills/gifts. I have been watching a Psi-related lock, block, and filter system being exposed as a real thing over and over, and this system has moving goalposts that appear to be outside of our control, much like the laws of physics are what they are and we can't just bypass them. Time has also been a strange research subject, focused on the related subject matter of precognitive abilities, and what is visible or invisible to us personally when compared to knowledge of the future events of others. So it will take more deep contemplation and observation to see if trying to bend the rules gets people blocked, filtered, or locked out of certain skill sets.

The ocean of Psi phenomena might be many different things, and perhaps all of these have a moral and ethical spine and are conscious of our attempts? Perhaps the failures are because we are trying to inject our human desires into something not human, and trying to anthropomorphize something that is not stuck with human foibles and interests? Who knows what may end up being true about the many realms of possible cause and effect systems?

Having seen multiple future events and telling the people involved before they happened, I have a worldview that is likely different than most, and lean towards many things being locked in place. Thus, if the lottery is not in your future, you can't force that to happen with any kind of psi skill. Long live the Moirai!

Greetings O,

I appreciate your intelligent and well-written response.

I was vetted by TV, film and book authors, over the years. I’m in the book, “100 Top Psychic & Astrologers,” (both editions.) I’ve blogged many world events (date/time-stamped) for a couple of decades as well.

Most of the current “vetting” sites, are paid for by members, and don’t really mean anything.

You might realize that String Theory seems to have something to do with the “observance” of particular actions, and built-in, karmic safeguards against certain Psychc manipulation.

Btw, I actually DID get accurate number predictions 3 times (with the same numbers,) but did not actually play them, thus, I did not win anything. I did this as an example for my students (all 3 times.) It’s a pretty famous story now… for another time. ~V~ (Prof Numerologist)

Not again, this old question. No, no one who is truly psychic and also spiritual will try and use their gift for that. Why? Karma, fate limits, gifts limitation, spiritual people not wanting to this because of they understand why it's not a good thing.

Stop seeing psychic gifts as a tool for financial enrichment.

Edit: people downvoting, consider why you are doing that. Did you get trigger by the description of seeing psychic abilities as a tool for enrichment and didn't like it? Because that's exactly what you are looking for if you agree with the idea of using psychic gifts for winning the lottery.

1

u/NotTooDeep 5d ago

Most conundrums are caused by incomplete data. Another way of phrasing this is you have a flawed assumption in your question. That assumption is called fate or predestination. Those assumptions came about in our past because they're a useful coping mechanism for understanding why something terrible just happened. "You did nothing wrong. It was their fate to experience what you did." Some interpretations of karma are similar to this.

Here's the problem. If your fate is to win the lottery, what happens if you never play? Never find someone else's lost lottery ticket? This throws the existence of Fate into doubt. This is a good thing because on this planet we have Free Will. Yes, we're a basic herd animal, which means, yes, we have these predictable patterns. But these patterns are often broken.

The data your question is missing is how hard it is to read the winning numbers one hour before they are drawn. The draw is mathematically close enough to random and the odds are high enough, it will always be a longshot. But that still does not take into account another data point.

That data point is what it feels like when a million people focus their attention on a single event and a psychic opens up their awareness. It feels like pain. Really bad pain. And if you really work at it, you can read a possible combination of numbers really fast and close your awareness down. But you've still only read one possible future with no more weight than any other possible future.

A group of psychics can create more focus and protection. That's a really useful observation. It can open other doors for the group. That Pick 3 would is a low value, state game. The Powerball national game would be much attention than the little games.

Woe be the psychic who wins the lotto and people find out. They're likely to be kidnapped and forced to win it for someone else, eh?

Then again, Luck is a spiritual thing. And this doesn't have to involve reading the future. I've been broke and hungry, walking to a bar with a coworker who wanted to talk with me and offered to buy me a beer. They said they were hungry so we wouldn't have that much time to talk. They really wanted to talk to me ever since they found out I was training my clairvoyance. I found a $20 bill under their shoe. We had a nice dinner and a wonderful convo. (1980s money, lol. Today I'd need to find $100 to pay for two at that same restaurant.)

Notice that finding dinner didn't take any effort or focus. Just looking down. That look down happened exactly after they said that they wished they could stay longer and talk. It was probably caused by one of my spirit guides, who I named Luck, way back in the 70s. As I write this and check in with her, she's nodding her head in agreement with my guess.

1

u/Over-Tolerance 5d ago

Nice response, you are likely in my age group as well.

What popped into my mind's eye was the problems with the Russians and sports betting, where they were hovering in groups like these, looking for successful remote viewers and psychics they could use. I suppose it was triggered when you mentioned "Woe be the psychic who wins the lotto and people find out. They're likely to be kidnapped and forced to win it for someone else, eh?"

I brought up this issue in a remote viewing post once, and got downvoted into the nether realms.

I simply stated that it is my belief that if anyone becomes proficient enough in remote viewing, they are immediately a threat to every government secret on the planet, and would have to stay silent or hide to protect themselves. People then assumed I didn't think it worked or was possible, which made me laugh because I've been watching things like this since the 70's, studying and taking notes, following the real research, and I know what I know.

3

u/NotTooDeep 5d ago

I'm 74. I spend four and a half years at the Berkeley Psychic Institute back in the 80s. We looked at everything and no one came knocking on our doors.

People can and so hide stuff from psychics. It's usually through distraction, kinda like the culture wars, LOL! But, if you ask the right questions, you can get through and read anything.

Doing this is not a concern. Now revealing what you saw? That's a concern for everyone, and there are protocols around all of that as well.

And that can work both ways. Someone's looking for a psychic spy? That someone better have their own psychics because there are not fingerprints or DNA left at the scene.

Here's the thing. It gets boring really fast to read stuff like that. There's better ways to be here that aren't boring.
