Academics✏️ environmental and civil engineering at purdue

hi im currently a high school senior. im interested in environmental engineering, but im not sure about the differences between the three different majors: environmental and natural resources engineering, environmental and ecological engineering, or civil engineering with a specialty in environmental. im interested in stuff related to water resources and remediation if that helps. thank you!

If you are planning to apply to the main (West Lafayette) campus, you should know that everyone enters in the “first year engineering (FYE)” program and then applies for a specialty later. So if the question is which major to apply for, the answer is that you won’t be locked into one so don’t worry too much about it.
