Use this thread to recommend fics you've been reading this past week and get help on things you've been writing. Please don't just link fics as your entire post, instead make sure to elaborate your thoughts on the piece/issues you're having. As a courtesy when asking for help/suggesting a fic, leave a summary along with the link.
Fics do not necessarily need to be RWBY related, though it is always preferred.
This thread may fill up fast. Consider sorting by New instead of Top or Best to see the most recent posts.
Note: All links must comply with our rules. That means no pure smut/gore/violence just for the sake of it. If they are a part of a story that is fine.

Welcome to the Mod Approved™ Free Talk Friday thread, where you can talk about whatever; RWBY-related or not. Come share your fun from this week, or vent about how it sucked. Can't think of anything? Just say hi or something. Either way, this thread is to chit-chat with your fellow RWBY fans and to make friends.
Please remember this thread must still follow all the subreddit's code of conduct guidelines (including its NSFW content rules).

Welcome to the newest episode of the discussion and survey series, "RWBY Reacts To The RWBY Multiverse," FNDM!
For today's episode, the heroes and villains of Remnant Prime (canon RWBY) will be returning to Seshirukun's section of the RWBY Multiverse to react to a special piece of her art.
This image is entitled "Fire Vs. Ice," and is, in a way, a preview image for an entire comic series that I intend to show the Prime!RWBY ensemble. The series in question follows this premise: What if Yang had an ice-based Semblance instead of a fire-based Semblance?
What do you members of the FNDM think the Prime!RWBY characters' initial reactions and opinions (especially those of Team RWBY themselves) would be to this alternate version of our favorite blonde brawler? As always, please be respectful when posting your replies.

Either how interesting she fights, the 'twist reveal' that she's the spring maiden, or more importantly, is she MEANT to be one of the "Bad guys", especially abandoning Yang

Bit of a messier sketch but I thought she'd look cute in this heh, Penny best girl💚

ok my personal opinion, i don’t really like this ruby design. I know the atlas designs are overhated but even as ruby #1 fan, i still don’t like it very much idk maybe it’s just the hair i totally get what they were trying to do, but i just prefer the old one? she had the style of a scene/emo girl from the 2000s/2010s

Now, I’ve always been rather a rarepairs guy, and never will be a fan of Whiterose (Especially given my own criticisms of Weiss), while I’m “meh” on other ships like Bumblebee, Arkos, White Knight, and Renora. I dunno, maybe I just don’t feel invested in them like everyone else is. 🤔
But basically, I’m a big Greek Fire fan. I feel like there’s a lot of potential that was really missed out by having these two interact……Outside of just Teams RWBY and JNPR hanging out together, as far as I’m aware 😅.
Anyways, what do you guys think? Especially since people have no doubt discussed this ship befor, but what do you guys view this ship and if it was ever canon, who would you guys want it to be executed.
Anyways, lemme know what you guys think and in the comments, and as always, have a great day and night lol.

Welcome to the newest episode of the discussion and survey series, "RWBY Reacts To The RWBY Multiverse," FNDM!
For today's episode, the heroes and villains of Remnant Prime (canon RWBY) have been brought back to our multiversal theater and museum to return to the section of the RWBY Multiverse overseen by the ever-amazing FNDM member A.G. Nonsuch.
In today's comic by A.G., entitled "Family Dinner" (found on their Twitter/X page), the Prime!RWBY characters will see a snapshot of Ruby and Yang's younger years, and witness Yang asking a very important question (and completely misinterpreting the answer she gets!).
What do you members of the FNDM think the reactions and opinions of the Prime!RWBY ensemble will be to this slice of life story surrounding the Rose-Xiao Long family? As always, please be respectful when posting your replies.

this was before winter’s official design or team STQR were revealed
winter was basically a gradeskipper who entered beacon and was on a team with summer as her partner, winter was her actual name but rathe the nickname summer gave to her, even after their graduation, they were still the best of partners and after summer’s death winter never recovered, weiss and ruby remind winter of her and summer
what do you think? I think it’s fun to look back at fan-concepts before the real thing was even shown

Seriously, I picture him as some kind of Horse Faunus with a unique way of moving, like his walking animation or whatever, who’s always balanced on a ball, saying his own name, "James Baxter," and brightening someone’s day

Personally, I go with “wipe her from the timeline”, but that’s just me

Well, before he was doing comically evil shit obviously. Ren was like the only one for him and I don't think that is accurate at all and just for some drama between him and Nora. He seems like someone in-between, not supporting the actions of RWBY or Ironwood's reaction and want to try to mediate things.
I feel it would have been more interesting to have characters he helped recently after Beacon's fall like Weiss whose home was in immediate danger and Yang who didn't like the idea of lying to him.
