Doujinshi mangas don't have to be H. In Japan they are just self published works often sold at conventions. Some manga artists we know today started that way. The most famous example is studio Clamp started as doujin but eventually became official publishers.
Oh for sure. I'd say it's probably 5 H to every 1 non H. It used to not always be like that, and many up and comers that get recognized to still start in the scene, but with the advent of the internet it became easier to market H doujin, so at least the last 25 years for sure.

I think “death isn’t glamorous” is the description you’re searching for. Theres no glamour in death. Even if you face it head-on, on your feet, smiling… You’ll still shit and piss yourself at the end of the day.
I just realized after rewatching the first episode. When Subaru got isekaied into Re:Zero, there’s an “aahn” sound. Isn’t that the lite/short version of the Uuuehhuuueeee sound when he RbD? This makes me come up with a bunch of theories in my head.
I think he already lived a life in that world, then either with or without purpose, got memory wiped, power/authority taken away, and RbD to that exact moment.
This might be sweaty, but I even suspect that version of Subaru somehow time travel into the past in his life, when he did the grand RbD, he “returned” into the “future” at the S1E1. That explains some weird coincident stuffs in the story that favor Subaru’s journey. For example the Big Tree which is used to slay the White Whale. It could be planted there for that sole purpose.
Literally most iconic re:zero OST, perfectly describing the primordial eldritch dread of Satella's magic that Subaru experiences every time he returns by accompanying it with bone-chilling howling female vocal
