The number was 25, rest of them were journalists.

8

u/RemarkableBluejay790 7h ago

125 journalists for 25 people?

No doubt those people like the fame

5

u/Primary-Editor-9288 3h ago

If these are so sure that they'll be flop, then the next time CJP calls for a protest in Delhi, don't cancel all trains, pre detain hundreds and Cordon off Delhi like there's a foreign military invasion happening.

Funny that you are ok with politicians and judges treating you like cockroaches in filth.

No wonder the brisitishers were able to rule us for so long, so many loyal servants.

3

u/Over-Professional303 1h ago

It's in the culture to support people in power, the moment power dynamics shifts they will bend to them. Our ancestors bent in front of Mughals, Portuguese, Britshers - they will continue to do that. No point in saving them

If, after everything the current regime has done wrong — every controversy, every failure, every broken promise, and every self-inflicted political wound — a strong, credible opposition still cannot emerge, then the problem cannot possibly lie with the ruling regime alone.

At some point, the opposition has to look in the mirror. Because when a government hands you so many opportunities to hold it accountable, yet you still cannot convince the public that you are a credible alternative, the failure is no longer just the government’s. It is yours, too.

6

u/coojasim 3h ago

You are underestimating the amount of money the govt is paid by the corporates to fight elections, buy MPs, MLAs and voters, runs perpetual campaigns on social media and buy off media houses. In return the corporates dictate policies to favor themselves. Add to this the govt's exercise of its power to maintain absolute control. Do you know govt has passed a law to grant lifelong immunity to CEC? The PM CARES fund ? Any rational and concerned citizen will raise questions but these issues do not reach the common man because all possible channels used to spread information have been coopted. The opposition simply doesn't have the money or power to compete with this juggernaut called BJP.

It’s not just an easy problem to be solved right, there is deep rotted communalism at play. So about 30% voters don’t care about being bankrupt as long as minorities are disenfranchised, it’s the same with MAGA they’ll be least bothered by inflation and growth rate as long as Indians and other immigrants are sent back to their own countries.

You can convince the rest of the population, but what if the courts and elections are rigged subtly to ensure they still get the majority, then how should this be handled.

It will, no doubt it will, nobody is absolute, even Hitler fell, so did Indira Gandhi, and so will …

I personally don’t care about a govt change, what I care about is govt taking about accountability

3

u/Top-Yesterday3937 7h ago

Exactly, none of my friends care about petrol rates or rupee depreciation or inflation as much as they care about movies, cricket, churches and mosques.
I don’t bring any of my thoughts onto them, but I’ve seen numerous times them wanting me to chime along with unity among upper class Hindus against anti-national elements trying to destabilize the country.

u/Professional-End1133 4h ago

Maybe they think BJP is the less worse option. Maybe they believe that even under the previous establishment we weren't really doing all that good but atleast this one is tight on national security and foreign policy or atleast acts like they are. Maybe they have had enough of feeling ashamed of what they are , their past and their history and that is something they value. People have their own reasons.

1

u/Top-Yesterday3937 2h ago

Oh yeah, the algorithm is supporting their ideologies and fueling it beyond cognitive repair.

9

u/Imaginary_Author5836 7h ago

When opposition tries doing its work then there is a lot of money spent in creating propaganda and discredit them. Opposition MPs are threatened with ED CBI or are poached by throwing some money around and parties are broken. Sitting chief ministers are arrested and also kept in jail during time for elections on basis of allegations which later turn out to be false.

Any question , protest etc is easily claimed to be foreign funded and false narratives are peddled using National Media which is already sold out. RSS and BJP headquaters worth 500 cr are being built across multiple districts and no body seems to be questioning their sources of funding as well. Police is being used as their personal Mercenaries and if after all that your only questions go out for opposition to do better while you sit down doing nothing then you are not neutral but someone who enjoys seeing institutions of this country being destroyed

-3

u/Educational-Bag4684 7h ago

I agree with everything you’ve said. But you’re missing my point. Despite all these opportunities, the opposition’s own internal politics, dynastic preferences, sidelining of merit, and lack of credible, incorruptible leadership are equally part of the problem. The government’s failures have created the opportunity; the opposition has failed to turn it into a credible alternative. Criticising that failure isn’t endorsing the government.

And this isn’t about one party. No party seems willing to break the cycle; they’d rather play the same game and benefit from it. Even the Gen Z movements haven’t managed to build a credible, clean alternative. So the question is: are there really no incorruptible people left, or are the incorruptible simply more comfortable with the status quo than with the cost of challenging it?

3

u/Pretend_Variety_8662 3h ago

Problem is not just opposition, problem is so called andbhakts who are happy being brainwashed with the BJP ideology and not able to see a better option. People are so badly brainwashed that even if they are not given vaccines in Covid and they have seen there close relatives die, even when they know that govt treated them as lab rats they are still open and happy to be treated like that. These termites are the bigger threat to the country

6

u/Imaginary_Author5836 7h ago

Well I don't disagree with you but also there is a constant effort to name every person raising voice as corrupt and some or other dirt is thrown on them by desperate attempt of governments. So you are right just that we should be much more careful about who is corrupt and who is painted to be corrupt

-3

u/Educational-Bag4684 6h ago

That’s a fair point, and I agree we must distinguish between actual corruption and attempts to paint someone as corrupt. But even if we give any opposition the benefit of every doubt, why haven’t they built credibility through clear, uncompromising positions? Take the E20 ethanol issue: imagine if they had pledged to keep their own leaders and MPs out of ethanol-related businesses or keep them out of the party. That alone would have demonstrated integrity. They repeatedly have opportunities to distinguish themselves, yet seem unwilling to sacrifice the same funding networks and benefits they accuse the ruling party of exploiting. Meanwhile, on the ground, people judge their lives against yesterday and the previous generation. If they perceive their lives to be improving, that perception can outweigh institutional concerns. That’s the reality any opposition must confront if it wants to become a credible alternative.

We’re just fodder for them in the whole corrupt system.

u/Gutss5 7h ago

My guy spitting facts

4

u/burdlock 7h ago

They win by vote chori tf are you on about

1

u/Professional-End1133 4h ago

Yeah that's why they claimed abki baar 400 paar and barely managed to get 240

1

u/kapjain 1h ago

And that is why they switched the CEC quickly as the previous one couldn't deliver what he was hired for.

1

u/kapjain 1h ago

If the opposition is so weak why is the govt desperately dying every fascist trick in the book to cling to power?

1

u/Successful_Train9981 7h ago

I agree our opposition is weak. But If the regime wins by vote chori and cheating, tf are they supposed to do?

6

u/North-Stand 8h ago

You lot have to stop with this Britisher nonsense. You are not fooling anyone. No one loves the politicians or judges. But people have deeper mistrust about you cockroaches. And for that your actions and words are responsible. You openly call for regime changes. A little self introspection might be helpful. Neither does the average citizen see the politicians as invaders nor do they see you as a sincere revolutionary.

7

u/Ignored_Guy 6h ago

Look up the meaning of "regime". This government is acting more like a regime rather than a democratic government by abusing and breaking all laws and violating constitutional and fundamental rights of citizens. And people call it a regime the same way people called previous governments a Congress regime.

-2

u/ab316_1punchd 5h ago

This is pedestrian by state government standards considering Punjab government have showered relentless lathis on two occasions, Jharkhand government broke the protest tent at point, the Kerala government is using water canons, SP, TMC, RJD government used to straight up shoot people. And so much more.

2

u/Ignored_Guy 5h ago edited 5h ago

Detaining journalists and lawyers, putting people and their families on house arrest, closing down 50 metro stations and trains to stop protestors from coming, detaining people directly from trains and buses l, detaining non protestors and women after 6, detaining and taking people to undisclosed locations in pir ate vehicles, beating up detainees, denying detainees their fundamental rights of speaking to a lawyer and doing all this while RW goons gathered at the same protest sites are left untouched is comparable to what the other state governments are doing? In what world?

How are you this delusional? The govt is well beyond using water cannons, breaking tents and showering lathis (which they have already done already during NEET protests). Open up you eyes. If the state governments are at stage 1 of oppressing protestors the central government has gone well beyond stage 5

-1

u/ab316_1punchd 5h ago edited 4h ago

Except for stopping 50 metros (which state other than Delhi have 50 metros anyway?), the rest ain't out of the ordinary, a lot of the political parties in support with CJP have been (some still are) guilty of doing all this in their own states. You think you're fighting for freedom, but it is just for a new (really, old) management.

1

u/Imaginary_Author5836 7h ago

Regime change means wanting to replace BJP government with one with leaders from opposition , how is that problematic ? Elections happen so regimes can be changed. Chill out brother

4

u/snerusn 6h ago

Regime change and switch the government both have different meaning i guess you are totally unaware about political languages

-2

u/Professional-End1133 4h ago

That's why elections happen . To change the regime you need to vote the regime out and bring a new regime. Or is the Modi hate so vicious that you would rather people come on streets and decide who will run the country ? Ab ese hi hoga kya sadak pe aake rahul gandhi ko pm banado. Fir RW vale sadak pe aake apne bande ko banadenge . Ese hi regime change karte rehte h. Great.

0

u/LagrangeMultiplier99 6h ago

election = regime change. Nepal also had elections after their regime change. Taiwan also had a regime change to a multi party system.

0

u/SuitLimp3348 6h ago

Election will happen in 2029 .not before that .

0

u/Jumpy_Description_84 7h ago

They are used to live like slaves.

0

u/LegitimateOwl8922 1h ago

Well the people who thses cockroaches are supporting, did way worse things to us compared to what the current regime is doing

3

u/MindGold24 1h ago

Leader hi detain ho jaate hai before protest, so how can common citizens of India participate in protests called by CJP?

11

u/KeyInstruction9180 7h ago

The answer from me is simple the opposition fails to produce a leader I would want to vote for

3

u/sassyknife 7h ago

This.

3

u/chickenwings0110 6h ago

so you'll continue to vote for the same person who enables hate crime, violence, and rapists?  okay sherlock

3

u/KeyInstruction9180 5h ago

From what I know congress leaders have caused emergency to happen, given away our territory as gifts and also the amount of terrorism that was unanswered is insane Also if u charge the parliament without permission ppl won't welcome u with flowers twin

0

u/Emergency_Lime_8 5h ago

And rape cases were also there do not forget that

1

u/RemarkableBluejay790 4h ago

It's true. The current regime is enabling hate, before that one side always used to accept their fate

0

u/sassyknife 4h ago

You speak like Congress has not been guilty of that bro

-1

u/Professional-End1133 4h ago

Yeah the other side never does that

2

u/Nearby-Look8014 6h ago

and you feel right to vote for people who were Rapist.

1

u/trashy961 1h ago

No active, sitting BJP Union Cabinet Minister is currently facing formal rape charges

8

u/karmic96 8h ago

Very simple, people know better than to support criminals protesting against criminals

7

u/StrongPresence4175 7h ago

Wait what? One criminal side has a massive upper hand over the other

0

u/Professional-End1133 4h ago

Doesn't make them less of a criminal

7

u/Alternative_Bee7092 9h ago

Dusshera is coming.....it's time to burn the cockroach along side ravan.

0

-1

u/Tough_Oven_7890 8h ago

Dussehra is a day where crores of ravans in society will burn themselves

Here ravan mean corrupt people … morally and financially corrupt, rapist and blind religious followers who got no values in them

-2

u/troy_tanmoy 8h ago

Talk about disrespecting your own religion by brother

2

u/Neat_Violinist_4707 8h ago edited 4h ago

What's disrespect in this , in dussehra we burn evil and if people consider cockroach as evil then they should burn it , it's not like people don't burn politicians figures , it's the same as that why are you raging here

-3

u/troy_tanmoy 8h ago

Sure bro, copium

-7

u/Extremepleasurepro 9h ago

Don't bring religion in politcis

3

u/sid110003 8h ago

2

Better to have it than anti nationals

3

u/Puzzleheaded-Cell-33 5h ago

better be called anti-national by the likes of u than bootlick those in power

1

u/Reader_Cat1994 5h ago

Sure bro. Everyone is anti national.
Anyway, if you’re anyway not paying income tax, anything multiplied by zero is still zero.

2

u/Emergency_Dealer_915 5h ago

Lol I'm paying income tax every year for my country

0

u/suryky 3h ago

What are we getting

0

u/Electrical_Access778 8h ago edited 8h ago

It's not a movie or show. If you aren't supporting the protests or are lauding the so called failure of actions against corruption, you're just plain dumb.

12

u/uber_yogi 8h ago

Imagine people protesting, the Pawars, Thackerays with the CJP....very honest people I agree...

0

u/Electrical_Access778 8h ago

What's the protest against? That's what matters. And I never named any politician or said they're honest, so you saying you agree... 😂 Try to form a rational thought before you comment maybe.

-1

u/chatzpah 5h ago

You got owned Bro! 😄

5

u/Neat_Violinist_4707 8h ago

So people are dumb because they don't believe in your protest , people can't have their own views , ok dumb as* go to your protest but don't rage here if people have different view and don't want to go in your shi*y agenda and propoganda

0

u/rational_agnostic 7h ago

Do you think the govt respects every view, the lack of faith in an institution is a serious issue which authorities responded to with a crackdown. I honestly was neutral regarding the protest as resignation alone was not enough for me. But arrest and detention is such an L move from the govt that tries to alienate anyone who has different view.

-1

u/Neat_Violinist_4707 5h ago

Yes I think government respects views , if you have lack of faith doesn't means everyone has , why would he resign because of allegations if you have proof then show it because it's very obvious one can't impeach CEC so this resign protest is full of bullsh*t , also talking about arrest and detention is not an L move , if someone harms the harmony of nation they can do it , few of my friends were there but they were not arrested, the ones who arrested were their with their own agenda and biasness

1

u/rational_agnostic 53m ago

Oh yeah, sure….journalists on the ground and protest leaders were definitely just there to 'harm the nation.' Thats why they were detained right? I already told you I didn't support the resignation demand alone, but the government's crackdown on the protest was pure cowardice. And if we're talking about nation harmony, you might be confusing CJP with BJP—because that’s where the hotbed of communal politics actually lies."

1

u/Serious-Web3279 3h ago

It ended beacuse rheyr brought in neha bora and saying they want regime chnage. Regime change is okay but i don't think we want it this way and they is no other less worse candidate either

0

u/Bo0ochi 2h ago

Neha Bora is prolly gonna go the Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam way. Meetup is on the cards prolly

0

u/Consistent_Zombie_95 2h ago

Godspeed to her!

-1

u/always_big_pp 6h ago

Is it though? Cause I would love to attend and protest but I’m also scared for my life and future given the kind of brutality we have had to face at the hands of the police. Nonetheless I have decided not to repeat my mistake and NOT vote for BJP again and have convinced my family for the same. Believe it or not these protests have started the long awaited downfall of this regime

4

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 5h ago

Protests are meant to be dangerous. Especially illegal ones like the ones in Delhi. Mumbai protest had all the permissions. I don't think you would have faced any action by police unless the protestors got aggressive.

3

u/SuitLimp3348 6h ago

You can do that because you live in a democratic country.

1

u/MarkNaive3730 6h ago

E20, UPI, Reservation, NEET protest did make people start questioning the govt and started the much awaited downfall. But this unnecessary commie infested protest that became a flop show did nothing but again strengthen BJP and their narratives. People on the fence have again moved back to BJP as they’ve seen how idiot this opposition is.

0

u/Bigus_dickus_the_1st 7h ago

Government : detain and beat everyone who attends protest

Also government : Look no one came to protest

0

u/Cold-Argument8800 4h ago

Your propaganda flopped

-1

u/Embarrassed_Note4115 6h ago

It would never be about numbers in India. You can buy as many protesters as you want for ₹300 a day.

3

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 6h ago

Yeah...we saw that in Delhi.

0

u/Puzzleheaded-Cell-33 5h ago

yeah we saw that in BJP rallies

0

u/zinc_1000 8h ago

Its done bro 🗿

0

u/Southern_lonlyWolf 5h ago

So they went to London to find more intellectuals.

-3

u/The_ManterOG 6h ago

when a person is scared to even go to a protest it tells a lot about the government

3

u/BadgerHungry8300 6h ago

Not scared nobody wants to go because vote chori isn't an issue on ground

2

u/depressed_001 6h ago

Probably they got the feeling that the protest is comprised. Now CJP has to prove whether they are compromised or no.

-1

u/Mostacknowledged 6h ago

CJP should fight election and see where they stand. It's nothing less than AAP 2.0

-8

u/basic-x 8h ago

People are seething, but are also afraid of the police action. It is just suppressing the emotions.

2

u/MarkNaive3730 5h ago

On ground, everyone is more concerned about Navratri, Garba and Dusshera rather than this nonsense. You’d see if you get out of Reddit echo chamber

-7

u/Dry_Philosopher_4817 7h ago

It is not CJP protest it peoples protest for the democratic rights.

-9

u/Maker1979 8h ago

Better than Godi.....
