Recommendation Public cricut machine
Do you know any places that have a circut machine I could use for a quick project? I know some libraries have them but I’m not sure which ones locally

but the thread is archived so I can't ask any follow up questions. I have a retreat there this summer. I'm looking forward to it and I would love to stay on site, it makes it so convenient to run back and forth to my room, take a lunchtime nap, etc. However that thread kinda scared me away. Have they improved in the last year? I'm wondering if I should stay elsewhere and drive there daily instead. If I do that, I was looking at DelMonte. Any other recommendations? I don't mind splurging when it comes to travel, so tell me what's very best in that area.

If you drive a shitty stickered up black Ford Taurus and honked at a silver van on Clinton for stopping for a deer, and then honked again when I made a confused hand signal at you, please turn in your fucking license and take the bus for the rest of your life you brainless fucking maggot. What possessed you to get upset that I had to brake for a deer? Was it that you were looking at your phone and had to brake extra hard to not hit me? Or maybe it's just your ego poisoning your mind into thinking you have anywhere fucking important to be.
Every day I'm reminded that people are really walking among us with subhuman levels of intelligence

I have a powder coated light bar for my Subaru that’s in need of a good sandblasting - anyone able to recommend a place in the area…??

I have a priceless ring that needs to get cleaned and have the stones checked about once a year, the jeweler that made it is not local and would want me to ship it back to them every time, which makes me so nervous. Is there any non-chain jeweler you guys would recommend and trust to do a simple but important job? I’ve only worked with Jared with their own ring before and I was disappointed at how messy a repair was, and another time they sent me home with the ring missing stones after they’d cleaned it which was appalling. Thank you in advance!

Does anyone remember Brumby’s restaurant? Specifically the pimento butter and garlic dressing? I’m desperate for the garlic dressing recipe.

I've had three early to mid 20s males try the check cashing scam on me while I was walking on Monroe the past month, particularly between Parlays Inn and Dunkin as well as closer to McDonalds and 7 Eleven
One in a black BMW (RIGHT by Parlays), one in a grey Jeep Cherokee one from a dude in a pinkish red hoodie on foot who was in lot of mini mart across from mcdonalds.
They all use the same script
"Excuse me! I don't mean to bother you" (yes, yes you do)
"Do you where ESL credit union is? Oh, do you bank with them?"
- side note, they can stumble and mess up the script. One dude asked about Key Bank and ESL interchangably before catching himself and reverting to just saying ESL. Lol
Then even if you say no, they'll usually go "well I have this check I need to cash and it won't let me...."
From there, they will try convincing you to deposit a (bad) check on your phone for them, hope your bank fronts the money as is the case with many pending e deposits, and have you send them the money on Venmo or cash app while promising you a cut
WHEN that check bounces, you would be on the hook for the money and very likely would lose your bank account. Meanwhile the scammers would, of course, keep the money
I have always declined to "help" and walked away. It's so common now, more than in the years I have lived downtown. Just wanted to pass along so others can watch out for it. 3 times in the past few weeks...never been this bad
Edit: typo

Does anybody know of any places hiring for POTS friendly jobs in the area? I just cant be on my feet the entire shift and that seems to be making a difficult time to look for a job nigh on impossible.

I was on the highway (headed 390 south) and I had to drop off food. I was on the 40 mph part of the highway and there was another vehicle with me (it was a state trooper). They were in the third lane and I was in the middle. There’s nobody else on the highway and yet they merged into the same lane as me tailgating me like crazy at 40 mph (it felt like they were looking for a reason to pull someone over). They were behind me for like 2-3 mins and they moved on. Shortly after, they pulled a truck over lmao. I drove past and saw what the officer looked like that was on my a*s at 1am. It was a blonde woman. Idk if she’s new or what but she’s doing way too much. And before I got onto the highway, there was this one state trooper alongside me (I was at a red light and they pulled up to my left all close and shit, it was so random. I mean who pulls up evenly to a car at a red light when there’s nobody around lol). It had to be the same one. And this was on Lyell ave.

Family sent me this video asking if I had any idea what it was? I know growing up i’ve seen lights like this from old car dealerships or stadiums/events, but unsure what’s causing these ones tonight. Any insight?

Apologies if this isn’t a post suitable for the sub but I don’t have anywhere else to ask. I’m (fairly) new to the area and haven’t really been out since moving here. I’m a younger guy (25) but I’m attracted to and usually only date/hook up with older women (30-40’s+). Are there any bars around here where a single, older crowd is the majority?
Any success stories from any other younger guys in my shoes?
EDIT: Thank you all for the responses! I didn’t expect to get this many recommendations! Will try out a few of the mentioned spots next weekend and share my results

Any thoughts about if it’s worth going tomorrow, since it’s going to be freezing tonight? I’m worried that colors will be past peak. If past peak, any other suggestions for tomorrow?

Thinking about switching from buying supermarket chicken to buying bulk from a butcher for higher quality meat. I usually buy ~6 lbs at a time of chicken breast at a time and filet it myself, but I often end up losing a good bit of meat doing this cutting off all the fat.
Anyone know of a good butcher or farm for chicken that has comparable price to what you’d find in the store, and potentially good pre-cuts available? Though I don’t mind paying a slightly more for higher quality beef..

I am 26F and I’m looking to make some meaningful connections and friends. I’ve tried bumble bff and reddit seems like the more effective option.
It’s hard to make friends as an adult. My birthday is coming up and I don’t really have a group of friends to celebrate with.
I’d love to make a gc of people in the area who may also want to be friends and do things together.
feel free to message me :)

Hi!
Does anyone know of any stores in the area that sell pepper spray and/or other self defense products? Additionally, are there any places around here that offer self defense classes?
Thanks!

I’m looking for a place that I can go to get my jeep wrangler customized eventually TM. I realize I could probably go to general places but in my old town they had a custom jeep place that I never ended up visiting, so I’m wondering if there are recommendations here. I’d rather talk through my thoughts with someone in person to make sure I’m gettin the right stuff. Thank you in advance!
