I was an instructor for a few years at some bigger hills in Canada… This was about 20 years ago so I’m not sure how things have changed.
1.) as a level 1 CASI your going to be teaching on the bunny hill more than blues and greens
2.) kids and adults will have their own gear by renting or w/e so they aren’t going to be on your board. In fact I would be upset if they were.
3.) you need to be able to demonstrate things for your students in an easy to SEE manner. Remember when you are teaching people who have learnt the basics of turning and you have taken them on greens . You are often talking to a group and then boarding down and showing them an examples of how to do it.
with all these things combined I would get a board that isn’t too stiff has some pop and can easily demonstrate what I’m trying to show them. I would also look at bindings like a supermatic, Step ins, FASE etc.

Apply for pro deals and look for a softer true twin that will just turn. This will make your demos much easier.
I don’t ride Never Summer to perform, but I ride the Proto Type 3 to teach because it just turns and demos exactly how I want it to since it’s on easy mode.
