I built an offline time tracker + invoice maker for freelancers because I was tired of paying monthly fees

Hi everyone! I'm a freelancer and I got tired of paying $10–20/month for time tracking and invoicing tools, so I built my own: HourLedger.

What it does:

- One-click timer that survives browser closes and restarts

- Turns tracked hours into a PDF invoice (grouped by project, day or entry)

- Tracks draft / sent / overdue / paid automatically

- Multi-currency, so you can bill each client in their own currency

- Dashboard with monthly income and real income per billable hour

What makes it different:

- Works 100% offline, no account, no cloud

- Data stays in your own browser, with one-click backup and restore

- One-time purchase instead of a subscription

Tech: plain JavaScript, no frameworks, no server. You just open an HTML file.

I'd really appreciate honest feedback:

  1. Would you trust an offline tool for your invoicing?

  2. What feature would make you switch from your current tool?

Link is in the comments if anyone wants to try it.
