Poly to Uni without internship grades.

Hi all, just to confirm if I score a high enuf cgpa before internship then technically I dn to care about my internship? Or it will affect my application aswell?

The internship carrying so much credit units and a B+ will already drop my CGPA by 0.1, which makes me kind of scared. 😂

Take everything seriously if you want a seat in local uni, they have their own discretion if you don’t do well in your internship. That’s why occasionally you see people grumble that they are not selected for their course they want despite they meet the GPA.

It’s used as a tie breaker Between students applicants from the same poly and similar/same GPA

BUT that being said , I’ve seen in my poly cohort a 3.8 GPA , IA B- grade , didn’t get into NTU while a 3.7 GPA , IA A grade got in. They were classmates in poly. (NTU MSE)

Up the uni’s discretion , maybe that year their criteria was higher weightage on poly IA. We won’t know for sure

Just FYI, unis WILL request yr final gpas before your actual "confirmation" even if you get an offer letter.

If your gpa drops significantly after they provide you with an offer, by all means they can choose to withdraw it.

Also, like everyone said somr unis prefer people to have "real-world applicability" or references when applying. Your internship helps with that, and provides u an edge over people who have similar gaps (especially for competitive courses)
