Treating your skin (an organ) as a piece of paper is a mental illness. If I began to cut crosses with a scalpel on my skin people say I need a mental health professional. If I do the same but with someone else putting toxic ink they say wow cool tattoo.
Inking any part of your body idiotic, but being attention seeking isn’t the same as having mental illness and you’re right, the extent to which this has been done….there is something else going on here.
Being an attention whore is a sign of unhealthy mind. Balanced minds need no outside approval to be happy. Its not the same as a full blown medical mental illness but its a low level one and often a start. All of the people I know who are inked are crazy. All successful people I know has 0 ink and never will want one.
There is a reason you see rappers (with criminal ties) tatted to high hell while the average Ceo, lawyer, doctor has little to none. If it wouldnt matter you could tattoo on your face and it wouldnt affect your social prospects at all. I do support tattoos fornone reason, it says to me "dont mingle with me, I am an idiot"
My husband and I are both working professionals with PhDs and work-specific certifications. We have a lot of tattoos on both of our bodies, and we'll continue to get them. Just FYI, many highly successful people have tattoos.
I love it when people say no offense and then just say some wild shit. You’re a dope. You need to stop being so judgmental and focus on your own life instead of what other people decide to do with their own bodies. It’s weird.
People love to do whatever and then take offence when someone reacts. You’re welcome to doodle all yourself, rest of us are welcome to react to it. I’m not stopping you from doing it…same way as you can’t stop me from reacting to it or society showing you consequences of your actions.
It’s 2026. If someone with tattoos scares you that much, that’s on you. I see more people persecuting people with tattoos here than tattooed folk taking offense to people being upset by their tattoos. Listen to yourself, it’s embarrassing.
That goes for you too. Stop being so judgemental of people having different values than you and focus on your life not on what other people decide to base their friendships on. Being friends with, dating, etc are voluntsry things. You can decide to only do it with blonde people. If I exclude tatted people its my decision, wnd very valid. Tats alresdy show you make bad financial decisions and like to ruin your body. Not really someone I'd like to date or befriend.
