Ridealongs don't do traffic stops like this and you don't get of the car so you'd have no idea what happened anyway.

So you haven't been on one. Traffic stops are definitely done. You're just not getting involved in a pursuit. If the department you go to doesn't let you get out on calls go to a different one because that's not standard.

You're a liar if you're saying you're out of the car before they clear and you're out of your mind if you think they're pulling over someone where use of force is a considerable risk.
