Except the tax rate is often a lot higher to cover this social system, resulting in a lack of innovation. As a result, Europe is becoming increasingly more dependent on countries like the US and China while everything is slowly going to shit. But at least we have less plastic caps on the street.
Do you think it's any better in Europe? Have you not seen the protests/riots in France, Spain, Belgium? I'm not saying it's perfect in the US but Europe is becoming a mess.
I never said that you said that, hence my question.
Regarding the middle class, the average salary is a lot higher than in Europe. Taking the social system into account I would say pretty similar as in Europe, maybe slightly higher. Do you know how many people move from Europe to the US and vice versa? Why do you think that is?
Because higher salary is not a good metric about the condition of life ??
Better social system / less debt / free education / we die older / we eat healtier because of better food control.
Also i dont how you think the metric of immigration is good to quantify the quality of life.
Quality of life can explain why people leave but there is also a lot of other factor
Btw i can answer for you : more than half of american people are overheight so in bad health condition / the american citizen are in permanence in debt and the quality of life for the middle class is worse every years and im not talking about the poor with probably the worse social system in occident
So yeah im really Happy to win less money than the american citizen
Because im in good health, i go at college without paying hundred of thousand, i will probably die older and if im broke i got a lot of help.
Obviously the system is not perfect and if people riot in France its precisly because we dont want the same social and education system that America got
I never said it was a good metric? I literally asked you why you think that is (so for this specific case). My point was that a lot of people move to the US because of the much higher salary. Yes we have better health care, because we already pay for it in our taxes an don't have a proper army in return. Yes we have free education, but the best unis are all in the US. Yes, the minimum QoL here is (a lot) higher but so is the "maximum" (a lot) lower. I think the right balance is somewhere between the US and Europe's system.
Since Trump and the war in Ukraine it became painfully clear how much we need the US and not so much the other way around. The protests in France are not just about education, but also housing, energy prices, jobs, immigration...
Yeah yeah, people who say that riot is about immigration know nothing about the subject lmao right wing despite the protest because its the left and the young who rise against the system.
Be saying this you show two thing / either you are a troll either you are a right wing lover who think that the minority of people who enjoy the US represent the majority of the population
While every stat show that the middle class is poorer and poorer
So you are clearly from a confortable class who know absolutly nothing about the economic and sociologic science
I was extrapolating it to Europe in general but never mind. Pretty much all the rest of your comment is straight up nonsense. But go ahead, spend even more on education while the deficit debt is already critically high wondering how it came so far. Surely it will get better soon.
