the bottlecap was annoying for five minutes and now I rather have it than not.

Honestly, it’s so nice to not have to hold it and keep track of it. It just stay with the bottle at all times. It’s actually nice now

Genuinely, does it even actually bother anyone? I cannot think of a single time where it hindered my experience or capability to drink from it

It’s good for me, since I can’t lose or drop the cap, so I don’t have to finish the drink at that moment

It’s good for the environment, since plastic caps won’t fly off to god knows where, chocking turtles and shit

It’s a win-win really

Yes, for something like yoghurt or protein drinks, where you want to shake them first, the drink stuck to the lid will end up dripping on your face or clothes when you tip the bottle to drink. I tear them off first with those bottles.

Fair point, I don’t really drink those types of drinks, so they didn’t come to my mind. Thank you!

You can probably scoop it with your finger, but I can see how that would be a hygiene issues

You need to spin it, just rotate in the other direction

Only in one circumstance, its anoying to pour which i do into glass bottles with resealable lids which keeps it fizzy longer than keep opening the big bottle

I mean, I also genuinely can't think of a time where it would've been handy to have. take the cap off, sip, put it back on. it never leaves your hand unless on the bottle.

Or at least that was my habits for the past 30 years.

So win-wash? honestly I don't care about it either way.

As for the US, they would need to start with accessible and encouraged recycling, before moving to this high tech advanced environmentalism ( /s but also kinda real)

Why not just put it on the drink after you sip?

I just twist it a bit so it doesn't poke my face (still hangs on by one strand instead of two), or just yank it off and put it back on when I'm done.

In the beginning they were also worse

I keep fumbling them if they aren't attached, these days.

One is good for the environment (especially for seabirds), the other one is good for nothing.

It's not like it's hard to just pull the bottlecap off its little plastic ring.

I agree, but to be fair - the design has gotten better.

I’d rather not have plastic at all
