The most mindblowing thing to me has been seeing the people who dont understand whats happening.
No this is never gonna be a production car. And its never gonna come out in 2028. And a big F U to elon musk all around, just for clarity here.
But yeah, a real car did that. And its really not that insane. I mean its wild but - if you wrap your head around the tech spacex has already pioneered- this is truly not that deep.
A real drone in a shape of a car, not a car. Guess why the windows are blacked out. And I doubt the car has internal components other then required for a 1 minute stunt.
Just did, they basically just described what happened and added a little more information on the specs, nothing about all the very important questions that comes from driving a flying car.
There are already dozens of existing road cars with one seat. Are you on their reddit pages raging about how they arent cars? Or is this strictly performative rage for you?
It's not the number of seats that's the problem, it's the weight. The weight of the person and the weight of the fuel. Anything that comes off the ground with a propellant, if you want to be a semantic asshole about which it seems like you do, needs to be ultra light.
An unmanned ultra light vehicle that only carried enough fuel for this display and was first teased in 2017, probably isn't going to be carrying passengers anytime soon.
Also, did everyone just forget how much of an unmitigated fuckup disaster the Cybertruck was? Tesla can barely make a functional car with a new design, you gotta be riding Elon's dick like a champion rodeo star to believe this thing is legit.
Re read the middle of my original comment and lmk if you think i forgot about elons cyber bullshit. Or his x bullshit. Or his bullshit with the orange idiot.
They showed the interior, allowed people to go to the ramp and look at the car after
They released footage of their development of the car, where you can see the carbon fiber chassis, the pressure vessels, the nozzles, the battery, the measuring equipment.
Doesn't matter if this is true or not, this is no flat earth level calm down. I'm very well versed in flat earth and I can safely say that he's not LITERALLY a flat earther.
Simply because every kg counts for such stunts. For every kg of weight, you need to produce an extra kg of thrust, and that extra thrust increases the weight as it needs to come from somewhere.
It is just physics. The propellant (the smoke you see) must compensate the weight of the car. More weight means more propellant. Very simply put, for each kilogram of car, you need to carry one kilogram of propellant. But propellant takes space.
The less you have inside, the less propelant you need to carry. So every gram counts.
Says "it's just physics" and proceeds to butcher the physics. You don't need a kilogram of fuel per kilogram of car. You need to know how much fuel is required to produce enough thrust to counter an extra kg of mass. It may be a lot less than a kg of fuel.
